Doesn't alter the fact that oil prices will rise as a result of it.

I wouldn’t be surprised if oil prices actually drop after the strikes considering very little traffic was going through this strait anyways prior. Now there’s actually a sign of hitting the source of instability.

It's naïve that you think this limited strike is the end of turmoil and instability in the region.

Never said it was the end, but it is a pivot.

As for the turmoil and instability, we can all agree that it started in October yea? Oil prices are down 10-20%~ since then depending on the spot price you follow:

Markets aren’t as reactionary and knee jerk as pundits.

That strait sees 10%~ of global crude traffic. The cost of insurance to use the strait has already exceeded the cost to go around it.

It’s priced in for the most part. The traffic had already stopped. Any effort to reopen the strait can be seen as bullish.

There's never, EVER money to enhance domestic social spending, but there's always a few trillion for another war.

The US spends like 70% of its federal budget on domestic social programs.

In Europe the percentage is probably even higher since a lot of them don't even hit their 2% NATO defense spending targets.

Begin?

The US and the Saudis have been bombing Yemen continously since 2009 if not longer.

US strikes in Yemen dropped off substantially under Biden after he ended the Trump-era Houthi ‘terrorist’ designation in 2021.

Go fishing elsewhere you're not getting a bite here.

Also stop thinking this just effects America, UK also fired on Yemen, you are so blinded by your hatred instead of helpful input you attempt to mock. Grow up!

The Houthis say they are only targeting Jewish ships because of the genocide in Gaza. The destruction of the mobile missile launchers will no doubt be problematic as a cruise missile has a pre-planned target. which no doubt will cause more civilian destruction.Bombing Yemen by British and American forces for the protection of Israeli shipping sort of points to the way this is going to go. Since Yemen and the Houthis are an Iranian proxy we seem to be in a proxy war situation on quite a few fronts. Fighting a war on many fronts which are widespread is a fool's errand. It's looking like a chessboard where one player is under pressure. So what happens when Taiwan starts up, and Lil Kim does his thing?

Oh great!I bet this means we get another flood of refugees from a country we attack who hate us!
Another step towards Islamic Britain.
This is sarcasm in case you don't know.

So...Biden stripped Houthis of 'terrorist' designation in 2021.

Mostly peaceful terrorists.

The attacks with Iranian made drones by the Houthi on ships in the Red Sea have steadly grown, so this was inevitable.

You see the PM has just sent the biggest support package to Ukraine so far. That's not gonna go down well with Putin.

That's another target on our backs. It's not like they're even pretending they're not pushing for war anymore.

Thanks for biting.

NONE of this action would've even been necessary if Biden hadn't been such a weak and incompetent fool...emboldening our enemies!

Remember...in February, 2021, it was Joe Biden who took the Houthis OFF Trump's US 'terrorist' designation list...in order to snuggle back up with Iran.
It was one of the very first actions Joe Biden's administration took in office.

Obama said it best:
"Don't underestimate Joe Biden's ability to F- things up."

...AND...let's not forget Obama's Def. Sec, Robert Gates on Joe Biden:
"I think he [Biden] has been wrong on nearly every major foreign policy and national security issue over the past four decades”
