DUBAI, Jan 11 (Reuters) - Iran seized a tanker with Iraqi crude destined for Turkey on Thursday in what appeared to be a retaliation for the seizure last year of the same vessel by Tehran's arch foe the United States, Iranian media reported.
The Marshall Islands-flagged tanker St Nikolas, which last year was confiscated by the United States for carrying Iranian oil, was boarded by armed intruders as it sailed close to the Omani city of Sohar, according to British maritime security firm Ambrey, and its AIS tracking system was turned off as it headed in the direction of the Iranian port of Bandar-e-Jask.

The state-run IRNA news agency ran a brief story acknowledging the seizure by Iran's navy. It did not identify the vessel, but said the seizure came as a result of a judicial order.
The St Nikolas was once involved in a dispute with the US Justice Department that saw a million barrels of Iranian crude oil seized.

So it looks like Iran have decided to take this ship-as what? reparations for the oil the US took?
Good luck with that Iran.

So, what is Joe gonna do about it?
: )
The St Nikolas was seized in April by the US under its previous name, the Suez Rajan, as part of sanctions enforcement against Iran.

just waiting for China to make the move on Taiwan.
Meh...Seize a tanker...Seize an island nation.
What's the difference when there's no consequences?
