NYC Subway Station Shooting, multiple wounded, undetonated devices

A graphic photo circulated Twitter Tuesday morning showing several people lying on the blood soaked floor of the station. One man applied pressure to what appeared to be another man’s leg wound. A red item of clothing was tied around the wound to slow bleeding. A puddle of blood was seen next to a second man grasping his cell phone, as back backs and purses were strewn across the platform.

A suspect was seen in an MTA uniform, orange vest and gas mask carrying a tool bag.

He was on a train that goes to city hall and times Square.

Possibly multiple assailants

FBI, NYPD are searching for the attacker(s)

Clair, a straphanger who witnessed the event while riding the Manhattan-bound N train, told The Post there were so many rounds fired off she “lost count.” “There was like, lots of them. I don’t even know how many,” she said. She said she saw the man — who was described as a 5-foot-5 black man, around 170 pounds wearing an orange vest and gas mask — drop “some kind of cylinder that sparked at the top.”

Gas masks and explosives would be a tad much to push a ghost gun agenda I think. If we were talking about a shooting. Sure I can get on that.

with a smoke grenade or something.

I thought the same at first but… All reports so far seem this guy is solo. And he got away. I’m not sure of many gang dealings being done by one person. Usually a herd mentality type of thing.

ETA: also like to throw in….how many gang even you read of where they dress up in disguise first? Usually it’s spur of the moment. Not get a whole utility worker get up and gas mask.

It's front page news in the MSM because it was on the subway. May be non-minorities involved.

Fox News just reported that multiple sources described the perp as a black male.

You won't be hearing about this story much longer.

If the gun was a handgun purchased from a store with a background check it'll be out of the news cycle even faster.

I can't remember where I read it not long ago, perhaps even a thread here about a planned attack in NYC , possibly Times Square for the middle of this month. Does anyone else recall hearing anything about this? Apologies for no source to back it up because at the time I barely paid attention to it.

That's it. Thanks for posting. I thought I remembered reading it here but found nothing. I read from so many places that it's difficult to keep track sometimes.

At least five people have been shot in a Brooklyn subway station by a man in a gas mask and orange construction vest who may have tossed a smoke canister on the platform to distract the rush hour crowd, according to NYPD officials and senior law enforcement officials. They stress the investigation is preliminary.

Experts say at this early stage that the shooting appears to have been an orchestrated attack, though they caution that much could change rapidly as details develop.

Just to give you an idea, Fox hasn't gone to commercial in over an hour.

I just switched to CNN and they're in commercial.

Cable news normally stays live for several hours during incidents like this. I guess CNN got the word already to stop playing this up.

I need to look more deeper into it before I can comment.
But from what ive seen 13 people so far, have been injured.

Possible smoke inhalation. Some people could've just been injured in the panic as well. People fall, stumble, sometimes sprain or break an ankle or wrist, etc.

Witness related story of hearing a series of "popping" sounds (not traditional gunshot sounds)...no gun seen.
