I thought that all you needed was to tear up and braid a prison bed sheet, tie a noose around your neck with it, tie that to the bed and lean hard against the noose. This will often cause CC cameras to quit functioning while your neck magically snaps.

I saw the post on Twitter and the girl who posted it had already made up her mind about who did it. I tweeted back saying don't fuel the flames and dont jump to conclusions, it could have been a hanging by mexican cartel for something that guy did and could have been made to look like white supremacists did it... I got flamed of course for posting a legitimate possibility.

It is not that uncommon to be very honest. When I was a kid they would find 1-2 a year, usually homeless, who would hang themselves in the park.

I know the historical connotation but sometimes people just kill themselves. Do an investigation, there should be, but don't go burn down some stores over this just yet.

I had thought of this and was going to post earlier but company arived.
This is a google search page that was 8 pages from the front. It seems this is not an uncommon occdurence.

Yup. If anything both Palmdale and Victorville would be considered more on the conservative side. Military installations, training, and military contractors are the primary employers out there (and a military prison as well).

ETA - And you're right. It really is 'middle of nowhere' desert type stuff. Run down. Poor. Methy. Desert trash all over the place (and I mean actual trash, like people just dump old appliances, cars, plastic, tires, etc. everywhere). But it's great for a decrepit backdrop when shooting the next Hills Have Eyes installment!

Nice try but although he listed 20% of the suicides in 2001 were by hanging, it doesn't address how many or what percentage were by tree hangings. I specifically asked about tree hangings.

Tree hangings are uncommon and even the links he provided never referenced 2001. The percentages are probably 1% or lower for all deaths, which is not common.

So again, the tree hanging deaths we are dealing with here in 2020 are suspicious and uncommon and need further investigation.

If you actually do a google search you will see it is a lot more common than you think. It is all about optics. A black man hung from a tree which in the current climate of course who arise suspicion.

I hope these families can find some closure.

Last lynching in the US was 1981 and even that was a man beat to death and then hung. Not that that makes it any better, but almost 40 years now.

The cause is definitely COVID-19.

But, this is something I'd expect to happen in one of the racist south. not really in a place like California, but Victorville and Palmdale? Not too many white people there. My ex-wife has family there, and when I visited a few times I was the only white guy I saw. Mostly Hispanics and black people.
