Astonishing (or DUBIOUS?) findings in Italy re CORONAVIRUS but note that I have not had time to check it out properly:

a) WHO has been ordering countries not to do post mortems on COVID19 deaths!

b) Good Ol' Italy did them anyway!

c) "In a nutshell, the disease is determined by a disseminated intravascular coagulation triggered by the virus, therefore it is not pneumonia but pulmonary thrombosis, a major diagnostic error" (if an error???)

d) "COVID19 is a bacterium easily treated with ASPIRIN and coagulant" (anti-coagulant?)

ETA - What I find difficult to fathom is that, if this is the case, then no doctors around the world until the italian pathologists interpreted the symptoms to make the same conclusions!!!

but do NOT see this as proving anything about aspirin / coverup / ill-intent:

- first paragraph does suggest no need in post-mortem exam for COVID-19 cases
- Not from the WHO, but maybe they can explain how they came to this recommendation

- Autopsies are painstaking work under normal conditions

- Without a direct connection to a physician in a clinical-trial,... not going to get samples right now
- team of pathologists are working with the WHO to create an international COVID-19 pathology repository
- a repository will probably take months to complete

With so many questions / financial resources available, hope this tool can be expedited.

I'm a small national commercial general contractor and been down since first of March. Our clients are in states with tough lockdown. We got a call this week for an underground utility project, put numbers together and dealing with government offices that aren't fully open. Finally got the ok to start. Only thing its in New Orleans

LOL I've repesented a lot of contractors, including some of the biggest underground contractors in [my old city]. I was thinking "why wasn't a government project put out for competitive bidding" then I read "it's in New Orleans."

CBS deceptively edited the "Face the Nation" interview of AG William Barr before broadcasting it yesterday.

Left out of the interview that aired on CBS on Sunday morning was Barr’s detailed accounting of much of the violent context of that perimeter expansion, including that “bricks and inflammable liquid” were being thrown at police in Lafayette Square near the White House as rioters “were trying to get entry” over the fences, the five dozen officers guarding Lafayette Square who were “lost” the night prior in the violence, and the individuals who at the time of their forced dispersal “wrestled with the police officers trying to tear their shields from them, in one case, struggling to get one of the police officer’s guns.”

Some of the most colorful descriptions of the violence facing police officers at Lafayette Square were clumsily spliced out of the middle of Barr’s answers to questions. The rather important detail about a protester trying to get a police officer’s guns was simply removed from the end of the interview. These remarks were edited out of an interview in which Barr said media mantras about Park Police facing peaceful protesters were lies.

General Johnson responded by ordering all Task Force Inside units to their assembly areas and directed the four companies of the 1st Battalion, 3d Infantry, at Fort Myer to take up station in Washington. One was to deploy at the White House, one at the Capitol, and two along the H Street corridor. Before the two companies moved to H Street, however, General O’Malley countermanded the order, apparently because the Secret Service did not want units of the 3d Infantry that had been earmarked for the White House employed on other duty. Even so, the two received street assignments, as did the one on duty around the Capitol, after being relieved of its tasks in that area.

General Haines ordered elements of the 6th Armored Cavalry to deploy from that unit’s assembly area at the U.S. Soldiers’ Home to assume the mission of the 1st Battalion, 3d Infantry, in the H Street zone.
