F*** me, really? I knew the media were down playing it, but I didn't think it was quite that bad.

I'm waiting to hear back from a close friend in London. He's at Imperial College and works in Virology with several Doctors who were part of a study posted here yesterday. I'll see if I can find it.

The study basically backed up the theory that the numbers are far worse than the official count.

I'm hoping he will have a bit of info to share regarding the vibe around the lab...

Chance favors the prepared mind. I stopped laughing at the Doomsday preppers several years ago. Don't think it'll come close to Mad Max level but history has an uncanny habit of repeating every so many decades or centuries.

Richard Nixon and his prophet predicted "2020" would be cataclysmic for the entire world but, who believes such nonsense.

I just bought better industrial shelves for my preps. Been throwing a little more money towards the essentials, including another 1000 count tylenol and vitamins.

I sure hope this outbreak isn't as bad as I feel it is.

I hope like hell our dumbasses in charge are more competent then I think they are.

Local media says the man left the U.S. on January 14 and stayed at Wuhan Airport for only 2 hours, after which he flew to Vietnam. He was hospitalized on January 31.

IS there a signal a threshold that you all are waiting for to know when to go in to full panic mode???

I think for me its reasonable to panic if in the US we suddenly have 40-50 confirmed case by the end of next week.

If 40-50 cases in seven days in the US ...then its out of control.

$50 bucks says there will be a few cases from China but little human to human transmission in NZUK etc,people are getting carried away with panic and fear,the problem is in China only one person from Wuhan has died outside China in the Phillipines,there is only one human to human transmission outside of China a thai taxi driver outside of China I see no evidence of a superbug in fact the more I look the more I think that outside China is a psyop.

Yes the very same. 2019-ncov is related but not the same as SARS. The binding protein is different, so the SARS vaccine won't work, a new vaccine for 2019-ncov has to be developed.
