At the same time, for some people, if someone simply expresses doubt and raises reasons why we doubt, then she is being smeared.

I can say that she may have been too drunk to really recall what happened and someone can think I'm calling her a drunken slut.

I can say that I think her story is full of holes and that I find it odd that none of the people she names as witnesses recall the same event she does, and I am now calling her liar.

i am seeing people say she is flat out lying. calling her a slut. talking about her drinking.

fact is none of us know. we just dont. we may never really know the truth. that does not seem to stop people from trashing her.

the woman almost always gets trashed.

the 2 recent that come to mind are this lady and stormy. people called her every name in the book.

not hard to see why women dont come forward.

it is well known that assault and rape victims keep their mouth shut.

I've seen some comments here as well as social media. Along with those who think she is mentally ill, a paid shrill, a habitual liar, etc etc(They are statistical outliers, hopefully)

Meanwhile, people claim this shows how much harder women have it, when in my mind, a few anonymous people on social media saying she is a slut is far less serious than US senators declaring him a sexual assaulter based on no evidence.

And you know what?

Because this happened over 30 years ago and she conveniently cannot recall on what date or what time or anything like that this took place, we never will which is again why so many of us think she's filling in the relevant details to push her agenda.

Maybe she was held down at a party, but it seems to me like she filled in the blanks with a bunch of names she hoped would stand up but aren't really related. And, surprise! None of the people recall what she thinks she does.

One is a left wing activist that most likely hates Trump and she carries some baggage it seems from what others (her prior students) have said about her and phobias she says she has.

She says she was at a party that everyone including a life time female friend says never happened, and doesn't remember when or where. It is also hard to say the rape word when groping, kissing, touching of private parts etc was not a part of their statement...

No need to use the word slut in any of this...

Yes...and to prove that point, I have been told by a woman that saying "smile" to a woman is now demeaning and harassment. Because in the 18th century in some European countries some women were forced to wear "smile masks" so that the men would feel better about themselves.


SERIOUSLY!!!

We are now ascribing 18th century European actions to a guy simply saying something like, "Hey, why so sad? You should smile instead of frown, since it can always get worse. Life is too short to dwell on the negatives in life".

(I would include a smiley face emoticon, but I fear I might be accused of some form of harassment by some of the female members here).
