The question is how is your country so horrible, so unfixable, so hopeless, that people just don't want to stay there?

People can get mad at immigration, at the US, at detention centers, at the current president, at former presidents, ~but~ I have not heard
a single person ask, what is Mexico's role.

I've been saying this for years. People are brainwashed into ignoring common sense so much so, that it's become a plague amongst the sane.

Have Mexico and Central American countries pay the bill for what it costs for each person here. Remove the money from aid paid to them or withhold it from any money we are paying.

Mexico can pay for their people. Don't like that Mexico? Fix you crappy country.

If they don't want to pay for the wall, they should pay for the immigrants. A tax on everything that crosses the border until this is resolved.

This must be right up Trumps alley! Someone must tell Trump.

We should write a letter to the white house.

In other countries, if a person crosses illegally, they go to prison. Then the president and state dept have to work to get them back.

In the US, cross illegally and win prizes.

The whole separate the kids is a play to get people to accept the illegal situation. It's starting to work. Next allowed to stay and support from the government.

What I want to know is, we send Mexico roughly 100,000,000 dollars a year in aid.

Can we stop sending that now?

I wonder what people would say if there was a Duterte running Mexico. Not that this fictitious facsimile would live long enough to begin.

The irony here is that Mexico is building a southern border wall, and the Obama State Dept had pledged $75 million to help them.

A great deal of those immigrating through mexico aren't mexicans...they're from places like El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador...

But one of the biggest problems in Mexico is that the US armed the drug cartels with better weaponry than their police or army have...And Marijuana isn't legal in all 50 states so the drug cartels have enough money to bribe public officials and buy even better weaponry.

The US has allowed this to happen to get a cheap never ending supply of cheap labor and the democrats locks up congress to get minority votes. Europe tried to get on the cheap labor train too. It's all set up and carefully planned.

I agree, and cheap labor always comes at a higher price later on!

There are tax exempt groups from the USA actively spurring central americans to go North to the USA in hopes of gaining political control. Under the disguise of "asylum"
This is a fabricated crisis.

Excellent question. Mexico is ran by the druglords. They don't care about the citizenry. If you have ever been to Mexico you will understand first hand how corrupt it is.

From what I've read that's only in the north. Southern Mexico isn't run by the drug dudes. That said I've also read that many of these people coming to the US aren't Mexican but those from central and South America and are just transversing Mexico.

I say we heavily tax any Western Union money (and every other money sending service) going from US to Mexico.
I forget how many millions are sent from here to there every year, but it is a lot.
Tax the hell out of that, use half for the wall, half for quality of life for inside the detainment centers.

Why don't you just kick them out?
Britain deports about 30 thousand a year, they get held in detention, processed, then kicked out if they have no legitimate claim for asylum.
Nobody thinks it's racist or anything, just sensible. I say 'nobody' of course some people probably do, but there is no strong campaign in the UK that is actively seeking to relax our immigration laws.
I wouldn't campaign for it, if you are not fleeing persecution or oppression, and if you've been in another safe country before coming here then you can # off as far as I'm concerned.

Because wise CornishCeltGuy, that would just make too much damn sense. Yes to just kick people out would be too easy, cheap and efficient. We Americans don't like to do things the easy way. We like the hard convoluted way.
