It's not about what they "found".

It's about what they didn't tell you they found and what they covered-up.

These jokers have already admitted it and the IG says so.

The system investigated her, the system interrogated her, they've looked at every aspect of their lives, their businesses everything. For years and years. No charges have ever resulted .

No, but plenty of referrals have now resulted.

I think the best part of this is that is one excuse I won't have to hear again. It is disingenuous and completely disregards the reality of recent political maneuvers.

The reply to this will be for me to explain how that is. Everyone watch!

Not that accuracy plays any role in this story at all, but "11 members of Congress referring something to a "criminal referral" is not "Congress refers something" - which implies the Congress acted with a vote of majorities in both houses. The fact that "only" 11 were in on the referral says volumes. Oh, and their complaint about "varying degrees of zealousness" is too cute to measure given that had Comey said one word about the Russian investigation to the press, while roasting Hillary and writing a letter concerning emails that meant nothing a critical week and a half before the election which tipped the scales to Trump.

This will come to exactly nothing, because there is exactly nothing there, never was, and never will be. The entire purpose of this entire matter is to attempt to preserve Trump's political life by pointing the finger elsewhere, it is all they have ever done.

Same old same old with Republicans, and yet near daily we hear new details about Trump and his Russian involvement.

None of you are offended that Hannity never told you he was a client of Cohen, while wailing about the unfairness of all of it? Does the news that Hannity is de facto "chief of staff" for Trump in any way make you believe that the stuff he reports is likely every bit as biased as Trump's interpretations?

Are you all starting to see why it was that the tax returns and "personal finances" were always "red lines" (as if someone gets to tell investigators where they must stop?)? It doesn't bother you at all that Cohen had an ownership stake in the club that was the HQ of the Russian mob in the U.S.?

Just asking.

Sounds familiar. Where have I heard that before?

Oh, I remember! Donald, is that you?

You know whats telling about this thread is a certain poster (antisomething) who has been very active in other threads today is decidedly absent from this one..

That does not bode well for the left that he has not showed up to "correct the record" yet.

Please correct me if I am wrong, but aren't letters from congress to DOJ asking for a Criminal Investigation, Prosecution etc. largely PR stunts?

Not really.. Congress has the authority to send referrals for criminal prosecutions

What is a referral?

re·fer·ral

rəˈfərəl/

noun

an act of referring someone or something for consultation, review, or further action.

the directing of a patient to a medical specialist by a primary care physician.

a person whose case has been referred to a specialist doctor or a professional body

Referrals...

That's what all those examples were.

Oh, like mueller's referral to raid Cohen's places, by the NYDA!

I was going to fire Comey, knowing there was no good time to do it. And in fact, when I decided to just do it I said to myself, I said, you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story.

Quite explicit.

It is quite explicit that he was thinking about the Russia thing being a made up story. It doesn't say anywhere that was the reason he fired him. In my mind it reads like this - I was going to fire him regardless but everyone would think that I did it because of the Russia thing. I then thought , you know what, the Russia thing is a made up story so I'm gonna just fire him even if people think the Russia thing is the reason because in the end everyone will know it is a made up story.

Speaking of Comey. Trump said he fired him because Russia, now says it wasn't because Russia?

Why did Rosenstein recommend he be fired?

To start the mueller investigation, of course.

Quite the fortune of appointing mueller too.

A straight arrow repub that only hired dems with conflicts of interest on his team.

Comey leaked classified info and lied to congress under oath.

Hillary title 52, lol

Lynch, threatening witness.

Mccabe lied under oath.

page and stroke. OY!

Jeffy better get off his ass.

He said nothing about the timing.
The announcement was that Comey was fired because of the letter from Rosenstein. Trump, in the interview, says no. He says he did it because of the fake Russia investigation.

He doesn't have to explain why, period.

He serves at the pleasure of the POTUS.

Remember when everyone was saying he should have been fired on Day 1?

Wtf is the diff?

Your narrative is pulled from the pages of CNN and is bunk.

No. It's from Trump's mouth. Which, I admit, is very often full of bunk.

...quite obvious he was saying he went ahead and fired Comey despite the optics of the timing.
The fact you can't comprehend it - or won't - explains a lot of other things.

He said what he said. Your opinion of his meaning is irrelevant. He is his own worst enemy. As Judge Napelitano says. His biggest threat is hi self and lack of self control.

Yeah - and at no point did he say he fired Comey because he was investigating him - so really doesn't need interpretation.

Why don't you display the quote that literally led to the SC.

Because there isn't one. At no point has Trump ever said that he fired Comey because he was being investigated by him.

Wasn't Trump miffed that Comey wouldn't say he wasn't investigating him?

I think I remember that Comey said to him 3 times.

That is not how the system works.
The system investigated her, the system interrogated her, they've looked at every aspect of their lives, their businesses everything. For years and years. No charges have ever resulted .
So you want to just keep having different people looking at it hoping that one of them will find something. And to keep looking until they do. But eleven months looking at trump is too much.

That don't mean # when it's all fixed in your favor.

There can be 1000 investigations. So what?

People have fixed the world series, prize fights and horse races.

11 months and come up with process crimes from a decade ago and russian trolls?!

Real crimes have been committed and it's not water sports.

Quite explicit.

That doesn't sound very explicit all. Still requires one to imply the reason. Sounds more like "...I was going to fire him, and by the way...". But then, Trump isn't the most articulate man.

Explicit would be, " I fired Comey because Russia..."
