His Highness has been very nice the past week. Polite, courteous and in RL he doesn't seem to have touched a single dram and he is doing "husbandry" things with out complaining.
Perhaps he has become a "walkin" and Chrissy just hasn't noticed because she is so relieved her dream finally came through.
It sounds suspiciously like the "Stepford Wives" to me.

Or he has been kicked out and is living his van and making all this up.

I have firmly come around to the belief that I am in fact Solar Powered!
In the deepest darkest winter, which in Scotland lasts from about August through to Mid-May, I always feel listless, tired and grumpy! But this time of year... if we're lucky enough to get some sunshine (which we have!) I get energised and full of "can-do" attitude.
Could be SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) where lack of sunlight causes changes in mood/energy maybe? But Solar Powered sounds funnier.... a bit.... maybe.

It is indeed cheap, this is why drinking is so easy (and bad) here. I don't think they subsidise it though. As for Guinness, I had two mouthfuls once (15 years ago!) and couldn't chew it so I stopped. Bleuhh!

My living quarters are a beacon of silence and my new neighbour was sent by the gods. I have stopped trying to escape, the peace has returned. I don't even hear his door close. A world of difference.

I am so happy to hear that, you had a year in hell there, but I do think you handled it very well apart from a few hiccups.
I was worried you would give up and sent many "thoughts" your way.
Hopefully this peace will bring you some creative bursts too, now that you are a "Writer"

As far as Gordi goes, I've been keeping my eye on him, don't you worry. I too have noticed the changes and sometimes he scares me. Obviously I keep my smartphone close, just in case he goes full metal jacket but I try not to say too much. I just smile and say "Hi"...

To be fair though, he did tell me where he hid the Whisky. I like cleaning... more than ever now!

As for my old neighbour, I was scared too.

Writer status = underserved but it was funny when it happened. I "beat" Sheye by one flag. Who'da thunk it?

I'm really happy it wasn't a problem for you, it's been a real beast this time for many.
It hasn't made it to whatever queue my computer is in for it yet, but needless to say, I'm extremely leery after this disaster cropped up last night on my husband's.

And Update 1803, the update that caused this mess, is re-downloading itself on his computer already, ugh. I just finished reinstalling Win10, got into Update settings and saw that one DLing away.
Hopefully this works right this time, maybe the first download was just corrupted somehow. Either way, I'm sitting there watching the download progress like:
