Nah, too much planning and time and thinking involved for "loosing my mind" - in my opinion, at least.

Except or one: MkUltra/Manchurian/controlled/psyop

It's been released he lived in Texas. Now I know Texas is huge - but - can you imagine in 1966 what it would be like for a young teenager to hear of the Clock Tower Shootings in your State, maybe your town?

I'm thinking he could have been fantasizing, stewing about this for 50 years and now - kaboom.

Once can still lose one's mind (for whatever cause) and premeditate a mass killing.

Psychopathy.

In fact, premeditating and carrying it out is indicative of having lost one's mind.

I'm guessing the guy was probably a conspiracy nut...had a Superman logo tattoo on his left arm...and, ironically, followed a guy who posts videos about 'False Flags'.

He probably became unhinged because he broke up with his girlfriend.

If just one word of that becomes the narrative I am jumping Elon Musk's next space gizmo to Mars!

You're very focused on the conspiracy candidates.
The lady on the higher floor on cnn, and the guy who's back you see called steve.

Interesting.

Guy's back?
Maybe read a few pages back.

The eyewitness is just odd, conspiracy.. nah... just odd. Some made for TV 'elaboration' at a time of a pretty major disaster.

Oh and his dad was on the FBI 10 most wanted list in the 60's for bank robbery. Just another strange fact surrounding this guy.

Terrorism, a'la conversion to ISIS. They have already claimed responsibility. The FBI may be playing that down, but the FBI wasn't the ones who stockpiled weaponry in a hotel room overlooking a concert arena, opened up multiple vantage points, and began sweeping the crowd. There's no other explanation that makes any sense whatsoever.

Maybe there was no conversion.

Maybe it was a con. His brother said he was in financial trouble. They could have provided him with money, with an agreement that had something to do with weapons. Kind of brings to mind the lost story of the guy in the California that was found dead and decomposing in his car, that had all the guns found in his house, he even had an estranged girlfriend.

There is no way of proving there was not two or more people in that room at the time of the shootings. I guess all they had to do in make sure that Paddock had actually handled each one of the guns, and to make sure they didn't leave any of their fingerprints behind.

the russian mob, by what I hear has their hands in the casino business here in the states...
trump, their family, along with some of the former administration members own a considerable amount of money to
russian banks, ect.
this guy, by what I am reading here on this thread, owes a big gambling debt.
trump, his family, along with some of the former administration members it seems may have tried to work out a deal or deals to possibly offset their debts, or create new beneficial relationships with russia.
those deals fell through, which much of the reason for that being trump and family's own actions.
maybe this is just a little reminder to trump and gang on just how russia feels about unpaid debts and broken promises?
the guy couldn't pay his debts off, the russian mob that has their hands in the casino gave him a choice, die an very unpleasant death by having both your kneecaps shot off and left in the desert, or do us this favor???

since some are trying so hard to make the case that a 60+ year old white man is a member of antifa, well...
why not put my own most crazy ideas down in writing also!!!

They always say follow the money to find out who and why.
Let's see what "sudden changes" take place or "agenda" suddenly comes to light.

There's just no decent MO for this guy to pull this off. All i'm saying is that this guy wasn't "this guy".
More like a human with a robot brain, programed, if you will.

Witness Charles Lee Whitman, who killed 17 people, at University of Texas, firing from the top of clock tower
at people on ground.

LEO at first tried to fire from ground with their service weapons - totally ineffective . Number of people in Austin showed
up with hunting rifles and kept shooter under fire pinning him down until 3 men - 2 police officers and armed civilian stormed the top and shot him dead.

This was in broad daylight and position of shooter was easy to find.

Now here its night with bright lights all around, shooter is on upper floor of 44 story hotel with 3000 rooms

Now tell me you could have found him and neutralized shooter

Hardly.

Just because you get angry at the world doesn't mean you immediately start shooting people. History is replete with examples of folks snapping and coming around at some point later on to seek retribution.

And, as I said before, anybody who thinks committing mass murder is a good idea has, in my opinion, lost their damn mind. Them planning to commit said murders doesn't make them sane.

It's come to my attention some people are attributing the change in pitch of the sound of the shots as evidence of a 2nd shooter. The muzzle being inside or outside the window would change the sound. All this means is that the shooter was human and could not avoid the gun moving a bit while it was firing.

Well, the investigation is still young... but your points do have merit.

I even considered maybe ISIS was blackmailing him, but I cannot fathom anyone being that susceptible to blackmail to sweep a crowd with automatic gunfire for a prolonged period. Maybe I'm just not depraved enough?

I have to admit I briefly entertained the action movie plot explanation. First thing is to find everyone important in his life, anyone missing? Kidnapped? Was he being forced to do this by some unseen mechanism?

But that far fetched idea crumbles at first scrutiny.

He was smart enough to know any scenario ended with him dead.

What do you see as the likely probability?

Someone should be serving warrants to doctors. Recent visits, any new medications?

He was a numbers man (former accountant). Perhaps sociopath/psychopath. Maybe he just wanted to set a record and out-do the Florida Night-Club mass murder.

Was he randomly spraying the crowd from the start? Was he at a distance where precision shooting would be difficult?
Otherwise, who was the first victim to be shot?
After that panic starts and his victims would be victims of opportunity during the mayhem, but the first victim was entirely someone he could have specifically chosen when things were still calm.
Could he have had a specific grudge against the first victim and then just went full out after that knowing he would be caught anyways?
FBI probably will take a close look at the first person shot to see if there was any connection to the shooter.

Apart from that, my best guess is mental wiring shorting out.

The only think that bothers me about the videos is that I have seen another picture of the shooter at a diner of some sort and he looks a heck of a lot heavier than the pink shirt/hat guy.

Maybe he had lost a lot of weight?

He was not having 'money' issues. Seems that he was cashing out quite a bit lately. 10's of thousands. He was also going through a divorce I heard on TV but now no mention. Just mention of the girl friend.

Point is you never know what someone is capable of until it happens. Relatives almost always say ' i Have no idea' and neighbors say ' he was quiet'. Those are the ones that stay off the radar and when something happens 'bam'.

Still, the sheer amount of gunfire to me seems quite a bit for someone who is not trained professionally. He was football fields away shooting down on a crowd. Fact he had cameras in the room to know when the police would be there also shows he wanted to kill as many as possible.

Someone out there knows more to the story.
