I expected to see lots of junk and beer bottles. Maybe a few shopping carts, maybe even Jimmy Hoffa...

Virginia Key seems to be the nearest tide station. Got up to about +3.5',
Seems to be easing.

Probably not.
Tampa Bay is pretty far from the Bahamas.

The answer to the op's first question in his title, multiply length x width x avg depth x 7.5, gives you a rough estimate of the amount of water pulled out of the bay, with your length, width , and depth measurements measured in feet. At least 100-300 million gallons

Just watched some video of the missing water in Tampa bay where it goes on for at least a 1/2 mile how deep was it? and will there be video of it rushing back in?? when/where has this happened before at this level of receding?

First off, great OP.

I heard the same report. Since this is a conspiracy website and the date 9-23-17 seems to be coming up quit a lot for many different reasons.

This make peaks my interest. I don't know who made it, but maybe when the waves come back the U.S. may look like this.

Who knows, but at least we have a thread that has asked a great question.

Bad idea. You'll be swept away like in that Ten Commandments movie when the water comes back.

As long as he's fast about it. lol After the eye passes run like heck. lol

Yay 100-300 million gallons just in Tampa Bay alone ! That's a ton of water !! With all the other hurricanes globally has this been documented elsewhere on video??? could be ALIENS come to take our water resource under cover of course lol.

That is just mind blowing. I have never heard of this before but then again never looked. Imagine what old civilizations might have thought after something like this. The "Gods" took away the ocean.

I saw some pics of that on the news - eerie!! Knowing the area, and seeing it like that, was quite freaky. I'd love to know if there is video of the water coming back, myself! Would be some wild footage!

One area, along a sea wall near downtown, looked especially chilling. Usually all water, and it was all mucky.

Oh brother, I was thinking about it. I almost wish to be there but I'm in NJ. I saw maybe Jose coming this way. Getting ready !

Jose is prolly going to do circles in the atlantic due to the wind keeping it out there.
