Cloak and Dagger intrigue from an insider that outlines the strategy to overthrow Donald Trump !

Conspiracies all over the place with this one.

Could it all be real and true ?

It's the "Deep State" and they aren't happy !!

Almost like a spy novel !!

Fired NSC Staffer’s Memo Outlined Vast Coup Attempt Against US Government

Editor’s Note: A copy of the NSA memo obtained by Foreign Policy, “POTUS & Political Warfare” may be viewed here

The memo at the heart of the latest blowup at the National Security Council paints a dark picture of media, academics, the “deep state,” and other enemies allegedly working to subvert U.S. President Donald Trump, according to a copy of the document obtained by Foreign Policy.

The seven-page document, which eventually landed on the president’s desk, precipitated a crisis that led to the departure of several high-level NSC officials tied to former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn. The author of the memo, Rich Higgins, who was in the strategic planning office at the NSC, was among those recently pushed out.

The full memo, dated May 2017, is titled “POTUS & Political Warfare.” It provides a sweeping, if at times conspiratorial, view of what it describes as a multi-pronged attack on the Trump White House.

Trump is being attacked, the memo says, because he represents “an existential threat to cultural Marxist memes that dominate the prevailing cultural narrative.” Those threatened by Trump include “‘deep state’ actors, globalists, bankers, Islamists, and establishment Republicans.”

Thomas Wictor on the memo.
He makes a good case that the memo is fake designed to troll McMaster's critics:

(1) Here's your proof that the "memo that blew up the NSC" is an in-joke.

And yet, the majority of what has caused Trump so much trouble are his own Tweets.

Perhaps the NSA has hacked his Twitter?

LOL ... okay, enough reality. Rage on.

So we're supposed to believe that all media, academics and government are "enemies"?

NO, the author is an enemy to reason and common sense, not to mention freedom. Screw him.

This seems like the right thread to record a theory that has been drifting in and out of my mind for a day or two.

1) The evidence for North Korea's nuclear arsenal is at worst outright fiction and at best completely exaggerated
2) It has been fed to Trump by the spooks right now because he is in a fix with the Russian investigation, and the spooks knew he would use it as a distraction
3) Trump is not renowned for his patience with complex issues, or for engaging deeply with anything that can't be distilled into headlines or tweets*
4) This entire war-scare has been designed to backfire on Trump and discredit him (by playing into the 'irrational madman' image among liberal-left types) and in due course it will be exposed as nonsense

(* = This description isn't meant to be contemptuous; as a businessman by instinct Trump is known to rely on bullet-points and condensed summaries in order to make quick decisions, which isn't always a good idea in politics).

Result: The media go ape, and the spooks turn round and say "We gave him all the intelligence, he just didn't read the caveats and 'maybes' properly," Trump is made to look reckless and dangerous and his authority is undermined at home and abroad.

Sort of like the mythical Iraqi WMD, except in that case the White House coached the spooks, and in this scenario the spooks are coaching the White House.

The thing that makes me think this theory might have more than a grain of truth to it is the fact that no-one, but no-one is raising any questions about the quality or source of the information that Trump is relying upon. Not one journalist has addressed the issue in anything other than the most superficial way. No-one connected with the intelligence itself has briefed anyone in anything except the vaguest generalisations. It looks like a case of 'Never interrupt the President when he's making a mistake'.

I hope I'm wrong, and I probably am.

I have no opinion on that, but I do strongly believe that Trump wouldn't start a war that would effectively end his business empire, which he intends to hand to his offspring in the manner of the great dynastic tycoons of the 20th Century. If you reduce most of the west to radioactive skeletons, you won't be making any profits again - and that is his bottom line.

And, why is it that these people just got fired and none of them got charged with any crimes? If this happened under all of our past presidents, there would be charges pressed on these people. If it happened under Bill, these people would have been in jail and Obama was even rougher on people than Bill was.

Sure. Look how well that worked in Cambodia.

Did they also call Kimmie and ask him to launch some impossible to have, according to their pre-Trump era intelligence, ICBM tech capable of hitting N America?

The launches were real, just like his nuke tests when he tested impossible to have working nukes from the great deals Clinton signed. Good thing we didn't need any missile defense when Obama decided to not fund the programs on intelligence they fed him.

The intel community has been wrong every step of the way concerning NK, and every policy that was based on their false intelligence reports have led to where we are now. Of course they are going to make # up now so people ignore the fat elephant in the china shop.

the nuke test registered on seismographs as nuclear strength blasts so yes they have nukes..

the missle trajectories say yes they can hit the USA. Imagine shooting a missile very high against gravity. You see how far up it goes.. then using simple physics equations (trigonometry really) you adjust the energy into the x axis from the y axis.. you end up with Chicago in range.

this is not made up. You could check the data yourself unlike so many fake news stories and unnamed sources.

I'm not disputing that North Korea has nuclear weapons. That much is proven. But the last estimate was that two years ago they had between six and eight warheads, and it had taken them a decade to get that far. Now suddenly NK is meant to have around 50 or so, and no-one had noticed before. It doesn't add up at all, and the evidence that started the entire claim has not been made public. That's what I am doubtful about.
