Hmmm, here's a new one tied to pot heads.

I've always held the view that there are no 'freebie'. That includes 'highs'. Booze gets you hang-overs, at the least.

I'm old enough to well remember pot heads sitting with their stupid grins completely disconnected from anything approaching reality. Then there was the second hand highs, or also known as contact highs.

So fair is fair. Here's another downside, apparently, to pot use.

cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome, or CHS. I have yet to meet a fellow stoner in Florid who complains of such symptoms. Maybe it is tied to the legal growers and something they are putting in their fertilizers/nutrition batch??

So, I guess potheads will be the cleanest people around, they will have to take a lot of hot showers in order to stay healthy.

I don't know, that article sounds pretty flimsy and a bit propaganda-ish to me.

At best what they're saying is that people are getting dehydrated from smoking weed. Other than that they have no reason for the connection.

Then they throw in that quote from the guy about how much more active he is now and how life is great without weed.

They're correlating things that may or may not even go together.

Besides, just sitting around smoking weed all day isn't what people are supposed to be doing anyway. But if they are and get dehydrated, well then drink some water you stoner, problem fixed.

Anything can be abused to the point where it's unhealthy after all.

This sounds like a really weak attempt to demonize MJ with some made up scare tactic that has no basis in anything.

Possible. It wouldn't surprise. Home grown veggies tend to be better than store bought, so it makes sense.

Ha ha. Connected to hot showers and baths.

But most people take a shower or bath every single day.
What's another sign...eating three times a day. Breathing oxygen?

I remember George Carlin saying once that cancer was caused by swallowing small amounts of saliva over a long period of time. LOL

I'm sixty. ( Just last week actually ) and I have friends who have been smoking since the seventies.
Occasional yes but still forty plus years and they don't have this. Nor did they ever progress to stronger drugs. Well there was that one guy but.... They don't live with their parents (those who's parents are still alive)
They are not societal failures or leaches. Some are in government. Two are CEOs.
There's just too much nonsense.
Alcohol is worse for you.
Don't you touch my tequila.

Likewise, hence the thread. While I don't and won't partake. I did a few in the day. My understanding is today's dope is not your father's dope. Could other explanations as well.

Wait a minute...it causes dehydration and kidney failure??
That sounds more like alcohol to me.

Munchies include eating a lot....which means the person would also drink a lot of liquids to wash it down with.

This article is a bit suspect.

As one poster mentioned...could be the additives to make it grow.

Does Monsanto now have their hand in that til also??

The article keeps reloading on me but did the article say if it was from flower, concentrates or edibles?

Could be. Yet, pretty much everything that goes against one's personal opinion seems to get labelled propaganda.

These days the cocktail factor might be an explanation. Psycho tropics, complex painkilers, designer drugs from as far away as China....who knows?

It’s caused by heavy, long-term use of various forms of marijuana.

Heavy, long-term use.

Much like heavy, long-term use of alchohol can cause health issues as well.

Sufferers need to cut back and they will be fine.
