Awful.

There aren't words for the hell that needs to rain down over this terrorizing of innocent kids.

It didn't protect us from the Army of God or Robert Dear either but no one is screaming about Christianity.

If you can't see the difference in scale between Christian terrorism and Islamic terrorism there there is probably little hope in having a productive conversation with you on this topic.

If you can't see that as of right now they (extremists) don't feel a need to carry out attacks because they have political power then there's probably little hope in having a productive conversation with you on this topic.

You just made a comparison between Islam and Christianity in the modern world.... I mean come on... give us a break.

Yes because you're clearly too ignorant to bother learning HOW to read the Koran, you can't just cherry pick verses like that. If you do that with the Bible you end up with the same ugliness.

Agreed.

What a disgrace.

■ Prime Minister Theresa May said the police were treating the incident as “an appalling terrorist attack.”

But British authorities, who have foiled numerous terrorist plots, will hardly be surprised. The threat level set by MI5, the domestic intelligence service has been set at “severe,” the second-highest level, for months now, meaning that they considered an attack “highly likely.”

www.nytimes.com...

Last week, the Islamic State released a 44-minute video featuring fighters of different nationalities, enjoining their supporters back home to carry out acts of violence. Among them was a man identified as a British national, according to a translation of the video provided by the Middle East Media Research Institute, which tracks jihadi propaganda.

So far you've been relatively even-keeled. I knew it wouldn't last.

Yes they are, like Muslims.

Nope.

Christians had their reformation era.

Islam hasn't.

Compared to the billions of Musilms, there are only a small number of clerics over them that if were gone, that reformation could happen. That is a lot of power in the hands of a few.

There is no comparison between modern Christianity and Islamic extremism. Not even remotely close... in fact not even in the same universe and doesn't belong in this thread.

Sickening.

Hey let's play a game called "Guess Who Is Responsible?". The winner gets an all exclusive paid trip to the island of "You Don't Say!?".

It must be the Christians again.

I want to reiterate that I am not rushing to judgement on who is responsible for THIS attack.

But I am talking about in general, most terrorism throughout the word is Islamic terrorism.

Even in Islamic controlled countries, Islamic terrorism is far more to kill Muslims than Christian terrorism.

Do you have similar feelings of Buddism or Hinduism being blood thirsty and waiting to attack when they dont have political power?

Frankly, it seems that you are deflecting and trying to belittle Islamic terrorism by making weak comparisons.

If this incident is radical Islamic terrorism as it seems it may be, perhaps you can console the victims families by bringing up Richard Dear and claiming chirstians would do this if they lost political power. I am sure that would comfort them.

Yes, the ones who keep teaching and insisting that Islam is a "settled" religion and no longer open to interpretation. Remove that and you could see all kinds of things happen.

It's a little hard to ignore so much ignorance after a while but you're right. It's not the right time to argue it.

***ATTENTION***

This is not the Mud Pit, all T&C rules apply. Which means knock off the insults and the back and forth. Staff understands that this is a heated topic that has hit close to home for some of you.

But that does not give you free reign to go after each other, or anyone else.

Do not reply to this post.

This is horrible! I bet a lot of the victims are young teenagers. I am sick and tired of this world, and the things humans are capable of!

I have a five year old daughter and it upsets me greatly that there are people out there who would kill her in an instant for their God!

My thoughts go out to the families

This is really horrible. This was primarily just an attack on kids. Teens and Young Adults. I imagine some serious backlash from this.

Is today meaningful in any way?? Like the date?? Or has there been any statements by anyone claiming responsibility yet or giving a reason for this or anything???
