Actually it was a nightmare when my daughter and son had to enter regular crappy schools in the state, and didn't have references to state history of any kind, they had to cram years of local history in two years in order to graduate.

What that tells you, they were way ahead of the rest of the students when it came to sciences, math and other major studies, but nothing on local history.

DOD schools are the best they concentrated in major subjects that matter.

As for her being about "God and white privilege" well, one of those doesn't exist and the other is something this world needs a whole lot more respect for so I certainly won't lose any sleep over her priorities as her system educates my two children.

I can tell you this much, the state I live in is one of the worst states when it comes to education at least on grade level.

The school system still does the black and white count, can you believe that.

Totally FALSE . Michigan is already far better off as a result of the Trump administration being in play. DeVos will be no different. With their typical liberal combination of "lets put all the fires out with gasoline" and when that doesn't work out as it NEVER does, they follow up with, "we'll have a contest to see who can whine the loudest and blame those evil racist conservatives", the Dems have been ruining the state of Michigan forever. The ONLY reason why Detroit schools, and any of the rest of schools in and around Michigan are doing as poorly as they have been for the last 40 years, is solely due to the deeply entrenched Democrat''s socialist engineering platforms as far as the eye can see. They have exacerbated and grown every single problem they have ever attempted to address. Michigan, like the United States as whole, does not need more self serving business as usual politics or politicians.

Before you go defending DeVos and bashing Democrats you may want to do some research. DeVos is from Michigan. The policies she wants to enact for the country as a whole were first enacted in Michigan. Primarily thanks to her lobbying. Since then things have gotten worse when it comes to education in Michigan. Especially in Detroit.

So before you go blindly defending everything God Emperor Trump does you want to get some background information first.

If ATS American members are anything to go by, she cant make things much worse

My public grade school is amazing. Sure, parents are required to work with their kids. But, shouldn't they anyway?
