My face and palm have been hanging out with each other for what feels like my entire adult life . . . .

The fact is that the original source intentionally lies about why the flags were taken down to push a well-known agenda they have.

So, in other words, from your own link, the college lowered the flag due to claims that it represents racism and hatred, and then decided to just remove it completely... Oh yeah, that's totally different than the RT story. Total spin there.

If you read the myraid of other news stories, you'll see that many compromises were tried to keep both Trump fans, and anti-Trump fans happy. Nothing they did seemed to stop the problems.

So, because apparently no one was happy with anything they did -- they just took all the flags down.

Kind of like when two kids fight over a toy, and the parent takes the toy away.

Yes, they decided to remove it because veterans and their families were upset by the flag being at half staff.

NOT because the college deemed the flags to be racist and hateful, which is what the Russia Today article claims.

It is different than the Russia Today story.

The American flag should never be allowed to become part of the snowflake agenda.....patriotism is needed now more than ever unfortunately it would seem not many understand what that even means...

The people of the U.S are on a collision course with failure and it has a lot to do with the lack of understanding especially from the younger generations.......

I would like to see good folk like yourself not get drawn into the left right rubbish...in my personal opinion if you are so polarized by one side you should go and join the military and you will ordered to march left and then right....perhaps then you may see between the lines...until then i wont hold my breath

How about telling them all to behave themselves or lose their free government grants. There are plenty of poor kids who deserve to be there that don't hate the country they are getting educated in.

Parents/Kids and adult students will have to be the one to stop this. They will have to stop registering their children, or as an adult stop registering at colleges that do these things. Let enrollment take a nosedive and watch their tune change....

I don't argue:

1. flag burning -- I am a patriot and burning the flag is wrong

2. lowering the flag arbitrarily -- that is wrong, and I wouldn't support it

HOWEVER, the college did not remove all flags because they, themselves the college deemed them "racist and hateful".

The college apparently did some stupid stunt to placate some of these "snowflakes" and that upset a group of OTHER people.

So now we have a whole of angry people. Vets, families of vets, and these "snowflakes". Everyone's upset, everyone is arguing about flags.

So, the college just took all the flags down because they had enough. Not because the college itself thought they were racist or hateful.
