"Hearings" are sometimes used as political strategy. If it REALLY was about "losing 4 American lives at an embassy" for example, there would have been "hearings" regarding all the OTHER Secretaries of State in the past when people were killed in embassies.

The dems approving of the Iraq war is fair, but it is worth mentioning that a lot of them were weak Beeps and folded because they were afraid to look weak...as the republicans were painting anyone who didn't want the war.


In fact (this is not an excuse, but an indictment) there is a laundry list of combat actions commited by democrats ONLY so they didn't play into the neocon narrative that democrats are weak.

Vietnam for one...or the continuation at least.

Any of the "they watched them all die on cctv" and had an adequate response team and told them to stand down. Nor that ANYONE INVOLVED commited a crime.
