At Least 19 Killed, 45 Injured By Knife-Wielding Man In Japan

Mass killings have now become a daily thing. The latest attack however took place not in Europe, nor the US, but Japan, where national broadcaster NHK reports that a knife-wielding man has reportedly gone on a rampage at a facility for people with heart disabilities in the city of Sagamihara, west of Tokyo.

Police say 19 people are confirmed dead and 45 are injured.

They say they received a call from an employee of the facility just after 2:30AM on Tuesday at which point the police swarmed the scene.

And another.. A knife keeping up or surpassing firearms deaths in a single attack.

And rightfully so.. That is a lot of deaths for a knife, and more than most firearm attacks. Obviously firearms are more effective, but this shows it can be done with anything, if one is so determined. Sad news

He was also an employee, so if he was alone with any of these likely elderly and slow moving patients, stabbing them before being noticed is a real possibility.

That's a misnomer. Firearms are NOT more effective... It depends what you are trying to do. Mass killings are not necessarily easier to do with a firearm than with another weapon.

The biggest advantage to a firearm is that you don't have to get as close to your target.

It's much easier to kill someone with say, an axe than a gun. Most gun shots are NOT fatalitities.

The advantages of killing with a knife are stealth and quickness.

In a crowded room, you could slash the throats of five or six people (which a carotid artery severing is almost always fatal) before anyone even knows what is happening.

Typically as soon as a gun is used on the first person, everyone is aware and running.

Don't give up your right to posses firearms America it is a coup against the people not for the people. The government and the president know exactly why the 2nd exists and it is'nt to look cool or go hunting.
