Hope that is not true - there has not been much of a protest in Cleveland and nowhere near the level of violence that the media were praying for. I'd like it to stay that way.

As must always be the case I cannot confirm nor deny what exactly would happen if someone were to attempt that in my presence.
HOWEVER a simple profiling of my speech in posts and the symbology of individuality my insignia DOES suggest, I think I can trust YOUR opinion here.
I HOPE anyone could guess why.
THAT is what purpose it serves me to do so.

I'm prepared for any possibility tonight. Everything from Trump's head spinning around and him vomiting to Angels with harps ushering in a new Golden Age. Not even kidding. LOL!

As I've already indicated.... I do remember a lot of things..... ok, so there were several reasons protesters burned flags back then. One was to get attention from the press....er, media nowadays. Another was as a counterpoint to those who waved the flag in favor of the Viet Nam war. Another was in disgust of America, hence burning the symbol of America, for conducting the war. Today's burning....who knows.

I think it was the Supreme Court decision on Texas v Johnson that said the act fell under protected speech.

Interesting, Saul Alynsky was against burning the flag. I agree with him. It was those who used it in support of the war who desecrated it as a symbol.

All I can do is rely on court decisions and reports such as yours. I am not near old enough to have experienced what happened during that era.

Yes - probably the biggest speech of his life...
Heard some snippets of what he is going to say... he's sticking to his campaign themes

Trump is not going to disappoint.

His speeches keep getting better and better. The best one was after the Orlando shooting. So now, I expect something similar.

Let's go, another night without sleep
