Shame CNN cut out that prayer.

It was pretty much the democratic platform.

Government should be secular.

The Constitution ensures it represents all, not just those that pray to a deity.

Lol CNN take a break for the pledge and national anthem. Figures.

Gives CNN time to look at it for plagiarism. (Yes...I know I can't use that word again tonight.)

It kinda sounds like brainwashing, no offense. I understand the theory behind it, but someone should also explain to people, especially children that patriotism consist not only of singing your national anthem, but loving your country and making it better every day...

If you listen to what Tony Perkins is saying now, you might understand.

Yes man 'brainwashing'.

I mean liberty, and justice for ALL.

What were they thinking.

Under GOD.

Rights Are a DIVINE gift from the creator.

Man was meant to keep his hands off.

The Pledge of Allegiance also used to include a Nazi-style salute.

Thank god things change, huh?

Hopefully it comes back.
It's always nice to patriotism is any country.

Don't listen to those who obviously have lost their patriotism.

Love of country is what the Pledge and Anthem are all about.
The words are an expression of our pride and patriotism.
I was taught that in school.
Apparently the newer generations are not being taught the true meaning, based on comments above.

Liberty and Justice for all are alien concepts to the left, which is why there is so much pre-programmed criticism of America's party.

Republic for which it stands.

Liberty.

Justice for ALL.

Under the creator.

Wow people.

Most evil I ever heard in my life.

Our rights are granted by the Constitution.

That "creator" has been asleep at the wheel for some time now.

Just sayin'...

No they are preserved in the constitution.

As a line in the sand the STATE can never cross.

Yeah, I've noticed it as well.

Seems like some people enjoy seeing their own country having a hard time, just for the sake of their personal happiness because they get some sort of satisfaction in being right about something.

I've said I understand the theory behind it, but clearly, when your system gives birth to people like Hillary, something is not obviously not right.

When I was a little kid, we used to dance and sing for Tito. So I know a thing or two about being brainwashed

Sure. God has nothing to do with it.

So pissed at you guys for not LoLing at my GoT reference. Where's Zazz, she gets me.

J/King. Just filling time before the speeches begin. I'm all pins and needles.

I'm so nervous I might have to watch it after. It helps me sometimes. As a public speaker myself in a previous incarnation, I always feel for speakers. There is so much build up for Ivanka, can she live up tot he hype? And expectations for The Donald are pretty low. It's painfully ironic.
