Continuity of the Erdogan dictatorship i imagine.

Probably the US making it clear what side it's on, and it's the islamist dictatorship (surprise surprise)

WOW. Where going from one crisis to the next in no time flat.

Soon we’ll have a string of crisis’s stretching back to I don’t know how far.

What’s next?

From the racial killings to the terror in France to this.

Somebody aught to plot these events and I bet they’ll find some common denominator regarding the time, kinds of events, and place.

I wouldn't interpret it that way. I don't think that the US supports Erdogan anymore.

Does anyone have any info on what factions are in play here? Have any demands been made?

"Turkey Blocks, a group that monitors internet shutdowns in the country, and Dyn, which monitors internet performance and traffic globally, both reported it was difficult or impossible to access social media services in Turkey," it says.

At the same time, Turkey's Prime Minister has been tweeting freely...

I read that via a VPN you can connect to the web.

There is a common denominator.

Islam.

And it's blatantly obvious.

There are no demands here. It's a military coup.

Let's hope this does not escalate, which I believe is impossible not to happen...

She realizes nothing, but if her pr agents tell her to switch her opinion, she does from one second to the other.

Looks like Turkish Military chain of command has completely collapsed

borders and refugee camp collapse could be a major issue here.

This could easily cause a giant migrant wave.

ME governments typically have turned less secular in recent years. the secular government may take control for a brief bit but I am calling Turkey will be a more islamic state than today with closer ties to the arab states and further away from europe.

There has to be something they want. The eviction of Erdogan, political freedom, etc.

You don't make demands during a coup. You arrest everyone you want gone that's in power.

There is a social media thingy going on showing Erdogan supporters are on the streets but one has been proven fake
