Answer the question - how did you avoid unwanted pregnancies?
I couldn't care less about your behavior with what's-his-face..............

just tell us how you avoided any other pregnancies. People need to know how to do that.
Seriously. They really do.

And, believe it or not, this is one decision I reached without thinking religiously.

I started thinking about when a baby becomes a baby. At what point does that happen? Do you know, and if so, are you confident about saying that? Is there some moment or event that takes the baby from unthinking, unfeeling lump of tissue to *boom* baby?

A lot of people like to say it's obviously when the child is born, but I can't logically take that approach. It makes no sense to me when you consider that there is no set time when a baby is born. Some are born after longer gestations and others are born disastrously early and fight and fight for life in the NICU for weeks to months. So what exactly separates the tiny preemie in the NICU from a baby the same amount of weeks along who is still inside his or her mother's womb? Why would you consider one human and the other not?

See? That makes no real sense to me. If you are going to consider one real, alive, and human, then the the other logically has to be too, and if you consider one inhuman, then so must the one in the NICU be equally inhuman and not alive.

And that realization was the moment where the whole abortion is not murder thing lost me. You can't just kill a baby in the NICU because it would be murder, but if the same kid was still insider his or her mother and she decided it was inconvenient to for her to be pregnant, she could simply kill the kid and no one bats an eye. To me, that's wrong.

I would imagine in one of the ways the other millions of women do it. Her situation is the norm.

Gee ... no wonder you think everyone needs sex ed. You seem to have missed it. I'll get you pointed in the right direction.

Now, since you have internet access, just use those terms and do some web searches. I believe you're an adult, so you can access those 18 and above sites. Just make sure your computer doesn't pick up an STD.

I would imagine so also!!

I had two children, both planned and wanted. I had ways of not letting unwelcome pregnancies happen. I'm just trying to get some honest answers regarding what the "pro-life" crusaders do to control unwanted pregnancy. It's a fair question. It might help find a compromise sort of middle-ground, too.

So, you're not going to share with our readers how it was that you managed to avoid unwanted pregnancies, then?

Me and my wife usually just pull out. We only have 3 kids at the moment, a 4th on the way. Abortion never crossed our minds. Married over 10 years.

I imagine she thinks that when I admit we used contraception, she will have won some kind of victory.

And whatever else we are in our religious beliefs, we aren't this, but I'm sure that's where she's headed:

Sometimes we use condoms when she is ovulating, sometimes...

We really don't care if we have more kids, we didn't plan any of them, never thought about abortion.

Just being human and letting fate have its way.

Ha, i suppose you were born with that instinct to "use contraceptives"? You bring up religion- so i suppose god signed of on some written statement about contraceptives? Maybe public address, maybe?

How do you know "gods" thoughts on birth control? You must have a direct line or something i suppose.

Do me a favor please. Ask god to posses you or something so we can speak to him ourselves. It sure would be nice if random commentators on the internet didn't have to channel him in order for his will to be done.

So it's back to abortions now? It's pretty much the same 5 people high fiving each other in these threads. If it's not Hillary, it's transgenders. If it's not transgenders, it's abortions. If it's not abortions, it's climate change. No arguments, no substance, Walmart quality sources. Same old sht. This place has gotten really boring and overrun by wack jobs.

Thats the spirit! Never challenge the whim of "fate" or decide for you self on how your life should progress.

BTW, abortion isn't discussed in the bible, but god gets pretty mad when someone decides "spill their seed".

To be fair, most of the posts on ATS don't make sense and have little connection with anything anyone said ever in the history of the universe.

Here's a thought. Why not mind your own business and let people go their way? Them you your way? Their lives and bodies affect you not one bit. As yours doesn't to them.

Forgive me I didnt realize you were having a slow day.

Presumably, with your great success at sex, someone along the line taught you about safe sex?
