The thing that i am most stoked about is that my guess with the pinball sound matches 8 out of 10 clues.....

So its amazing he said what he said without it being the correct guess,no ?

Hi guys, i thought i'd revamp a thread that i made a while back but now i actually have the sound and all the clues.

The sound :Secret Sound

The clues:

1. Wedding
2. Traveling Wilburys
3. Keno
4. You don't have to be a master thief
5. 2 become 1
6. Double action
7. Before Use
8. Cheers to the great navigator
9. Start or Finish
10. No Key

So have a crack my ATS friends....... There will be a prize at the end if guessed

P.S. They say the list of clues are cryptic, but i take it you guys guessed that.

Wow! So close!

Okay, here's what I'm thinking about the clues, tell me if you already went over this.

4. You don't have to be a master thief 5. 2 be 1 might be describing zip lining. Remember the Tom Cruise/Mission Impossible scene?

2. The Wilbury's biggest hit was "End of the Line"

6. Double Action: One of the zip lines in Las Vegas is double seated and;

10. they lock them in the seats without a key but it makes a similar sound to your secret sound. Also the zipline starting up kinda sounds like it.

Wedding doesn't fit yet that I can see but there are wedding chapels everywhere in Vegas. Keno is everywhere there and it's a local radio call sign. Before use I guess means shake before use, or check before use or read instructions before use, right? Idk, just brainstorming on this, I'm probably way off.

The wedding and the traveling wilburys gets me then.

I thought perhaps a clock mechanism of some sort.
1st anniversary gift
Great navigator
Start or Finish

Then the clues just fall apart!

Hard!

WOWOWOWOWOW,

got through guys, i said " is it the ball loading on a vintage pinball machine".... there was a pause, then he said " lets have another listen", he then played the sound and replied " very good guess, thats the closest, if i was going to give it on sound, that would be it, but it has nothing to do with it"

So here is the sound of the vintage pinball loading again for you to hear:

Vintage pinball machine loading ball

He has never said that to anyone before......., so we are close guys, real close.

That sound bite just above this text, is the closest thing we have. What can it be.

Just wanted to bump that post incase some of you missed it. In over the 6 months ive been listening to the callers in the morning, the radio annoucers have never said this to anyone. I was also the last caller of the day.

Here is a clue i have invented from that call this morning, for him to say what he said.......

The clue:

VINTAGE

???

Not sure if that clue would be vintage or the ball loading part.

You wrote keno pool a couple of posts up: how about a pool ball return mechanism?

Wedding could be linked to diamond, master thief could have something to do with picking pockets. I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how the Traveling Wilburys would fit in though (nice group btw).

Super sad for you.

Thanks Skybird.......

I found this page in my travels from a Secret Sound competition, very interesting. It is not the same sound but it does give us an idea of how they may record it and how in your face the answer may be.

The vid is only 12 seconds, but the list of guesses underneath the vid is very interesting.

similar sound

Please have a geezer !!

Alright, let me have an other whack at it. Could it be related to a combination lock cash box?

1. Wedding: wedlock/saving money
2. Traveling Wilburys: locksmiths
3. Keno: lottery numbers, numbers being the keyword
4. You don't have to be a master thief: just pick up the box and take of with it
5. 2 become 1: cash box has a removable cash tray
6. Double action: dial numbers, open box?
7. Before Use: open it first
8. Cheers to the great navigator: navigator cash account aus
9. Start or Finish: ?
10. No Key: it has a combination lock
