May 13, 2016 completes 99 years since Fatima and starts the 100th year

May 13, 1917 was the date of the first apparition of Virgin Mary in Fatima. May 13, 2016 makes exactly 99 years completed, and starts the 100th year. That jubilee year would end on October 13, 2017 the date of the last apparition that took place in 1917.

For everyone who follows Fatima, that matters. Pope Benedict during his Fatima visit said the final fulfillment will happen before the 100th anniversary (after a year and a half). Malachi Maritn in radio interview in 1997 said there won't be another 20 years before the events happen.

With the 100th year already upon us, we have to expect some kind of fulfillment even if it is not in the way expected by most of the faithful people. It may not be antichrist in the Vatican. It may not be "conversion" of Russia (didn't it happen already). It may be something else that no one of those who have read the secret speaks about.

In previous threads dedicated to Fatima, I developed the idea that something more should be expected compared to already published texts. Including Neues Europa text published in Osservatore Romano shortly before the election of John Paul II. As Malachi Martin said, none of these, not even Neues Europa, contain the core element of the 3rd secret, as he himself claimed to know.

If I post a new thread, it is because we finally enter in that 100th year. The same year coincides with other expectations, such as Jewish jubilee year, Mayan re-fixed calendar of 365-day-year (neither Gregorian nor Julian calendars that are based on fractions of additional day 365 + compensated with the leap years, while the Mayan did not). At the same time, scientific teams from different centers keep saying Planet X should exist, after we almost forgot about it in the failed 2012 expectations.

And finally, we have already seen the remarkable film Star Wars 7 where it was shown in plain sight how a star explosion occurs and how energy from the star reaches and accumulates in the planet, to the extend to make the planet fracturing itself. Whatever the motivations of the filmmakers, that was shown with all effects to audience of hundreds of millions predominantly young people (but not only).

It is a time the religious people trained in prophecy to finally take positions and say them aloud. Their expectations of a pope to speak first may prove wrong. Because no matter what Francis will say, he will be criticized by almost all. As Benedict was. Why not cardinals, bishops and lay people who are well informed on that matter, to speak out louder in what may be their last chance to do something for the larger group of people who listen to them, or for the Virgin Mary if you will. Shall we continue the same way of silent acceptance of events in the last 100th year?

It remembers me of another TV serial of Star Wars - Rebels. The main personage of the young Ezra is a full contrast of what we know as wise Jedi from previous films. Yet he interacts with the Force. In a way that many would prefer to say "dark side" in order to escape inconvenient questions how God gives the mystical Force to people not necessarily within the ranks. If there is interest in these most recent films, I would comment them more. The phenomenon Star Wars is far not only effects and shootings. It took the last 40 years the minds and hearts of generations, may be more than what was achieved by the churches in that time. It is strange when recently we hear Osservatore Romano to say: "the evil characters in the last episode of Star Wars weren't evil enough"...

please correct me. But do it intelligently with reasons. For sure it is not the Gregorian nor the Julian and it doesn't fall on Dec 21 2012 as we all initially thought.

Moreover, this is far not the main issue I discuss here. I just mention it besides all the rest. The issue is 100th anniversary of Fatima.

Part of my education was in a convent dedicated to "Our Lady of Fatima" and although no one questioned it at the time, and many poor parents struggled to get their kids/themselves on one of the trips there, no one came back with a miracle, just considerably poorer. In a way, that should tell you all about Fatima. It is a money spinning neat little earner with the usual Catholic extraction method of keeping it going for as long as they can in order to milk money.

Catholicism was totally built upon Paganism look at where its churches and buildings are - they usually sit on sacred sites from the ancient world. Christmas falls when it does because of Saturalia and its ancient celebration, never mind the twoddle date of Baby Jesus's birth - another money spinner. These celebrations are needed whichever religious belief system you have, but a little honesty would go a very, very long way.

Reading through your thread - and I see you are linking sacred circumstances to Hollywood - not exactly run by Christians for Christians is that establishment? It is a sparkling example of an establishment running purely for profit and sensationalism. But its sensationalism and special effects only that you refer to when you write about linking Star Wars with its exploding planet. Today it is very clear the agenda of using the media - films etc to sell you ideas and suggestions is considered the best way for those who seek to control everyone. It is dawning of people though that
the media is completely under the predatory control of people whom have no regard for Christianity or the people who follow it. Its only objection exists for ensuring their exploitation and control and religion has always been the velvet glove which costs less than armies therefore some of the thinking behind some of Hollywoods and tv's presentations would be relevant - but for what reason - sacred as related to the hopes of people who believe in Fatima or profit, exploitation and the sly conditioning of people's minds to accept the next stage of control over their lives being put in place and worse accepted meekly?

Also don't you think there is more adoration/idolatory for some of the most simpering, talentless and shallow stars/celebrities the world has ever seen - again many given these prestigious roles at the top not for talent but because of their religious persuasion? But the fact is that there isn't a true hero or heroine amongst any of them, just a perchance for vanity and their indiscriminate 'extrovertism' - I can think of so many examples its not true - what they give to charity to look good is tax deductible. We have left the realms of the sacred well and truly behind. Ccould that be the bit we are waiting for)?

Fatima and Pope Benedict are starting to look out of time and although one can speculate that - as you have, whatever the prophesy is/was the church is in need of a miracle , especially as you speculate that Pope Francis may not divulge the last prophesy and we can most likely "continue the same way of silent acceptance of events" etc because that's how industries - and the church is one of the biggest in the world - keep their coffers flowing. - Blessed are the meek simply because they keep quiet and don't call the elite out.

Sorry to be a downer here but at school I saw the pressure families were put under to struggle and go without to do this pilgrimage and they only got hardship for the privilege, yet the bishops always had/have beautiful vestments. If you think about the pantomime and costumes - that needs a lot of cash.

Star Wars is the film serial that shaped the minds of later Cold War generation as well as the fall of Berlin Wall, to come to today's world of 27 years unchallenged Democracy (at least called so). If someone doesn't like the movies thats ok. But they formed generations and still do it. Parallels are too many between them and society we are living in.

Have you shared your view with the East Germans about the fall of the Berlin Wall being influenced by Star Wars - honestly!

Being from the generation that lived during the cold war I can assure you Star Wars was purely entertainment and nothing else in those days - we had more important things to think about.

That's my birthday!

I remember this speech and I can guarantee, there were no Jedi or light sabers. Star Wars was just a movie and although people were talking about it, it was not the mystical "be all and end all" that everyone seems to think it is now.

Hi, as a visitor to Lourdes in 1982 i was most impressed by the "wheelchairs/crutches" hanging around the grotto, and not sure if it had anything to do with magic or deception. I learnt about the apparition's in school but at that time did not understand. Now as an old man i still don't know if it's true or not.

I also lived thru the fall of the Cold War and I can assure you it influenced greatly minds of youngsters at that time, as myself. It was the FILM and the SAGA.

With or without Star Wars we are approaching the HISTORIC anniversary of Fatima. This one year between now and the completion of 100 years will decide everything. According to people much smarter than I am, people that I already quoted, who have been reading and studying the secrets for decades.

Can't wait for the date to pass to watch the inevitable "here's why it didn't happen yet" and " here is the new date" threads popping up.
My miracle hope is that people will realize that the church is a scam and they don't need to go to a building and give their money to a corrupt organization in order to be good people.

Catholic Mumbo Jumbo. I have many Christian and Catholic friends and only a couple of the non Catholics have even heard of this crap, much less believe it.

I also just want to see if you really are using a Science Fiction movie to try and make a point.

I must say, that I consider myself to be educated, mature, reasonable, and I hope intelligent, (I know my opinion LOL), and yet, for the occurrences at Fatima, I have found no logical, worldly explanation that can satisfactorily explain it away. There were thousand of witnesses to the miracles. I see no reason to doubt Lucia Santos, who continued to live a pious and selfless life, with no reason to have lied or gained from the occurrence. If anything, it caused her struggles.

Although I still am not sure that we have the capacity to fully comprehend what we were meant to understand, I have come to accept that something happened at that time - something important. For my entire life, every time I read or hear about it, I fully, instinctively, feel that it meant something.

Also, the reactions of the Popes who have supposedly read the secrets are concerning.

So, I understand the apprehension at the possibility that the final secret may be revealed. This is more than just another doomsday prediction, because we don't know what exactly might happen. It might be something else world-changing that we can not even imagine right now.

A good many people feel the way you have indicated, and rightfully so.

I recall as a curiosity having gone several times online to look up what the prophecies were, and to find there was only one living Fatima kid still alive. I wanted to know the prophecy, but it seems the last one was only recently revealed...... oh heck, probably ten or more years now ......time flies.... But, it seems I was unimpressed with the revelation. There was the one movie, I believe in the 60's or 70's where the people are in the rain, and the Fatima kids there as well, and while it was raining, something, something, and everyone was dry.... monsoon to dry.... miracle ? or Hollywood ? Hollywood certainly had it's part, hence the movie..

While the 2017 sounds all logical and all, well you can draw your own conclusions. I scarcely trust the Vatican, and I'm sure I'm not alone there.
But Yea the OP title certainly is Accurate.. no mistake there.
