So an undocumented couple has a baby who was born in the U.S. The baby is now 3 or 4 years old, and the couple gets deported, but the baby can't be deported because they were born here. Now you have separated a mother from her 4-year-old child until she can get her application approved.

The baby is free to go, too no deportion needed.

How many parents would leave their 4yo behind if they were deported?

IF someone came here through legal means.

As in went through the VISA process, and bureaucracy. Sure.

The citizenship of anyone born on US soil is above question, the parents citizenship is not above question. You stated that the baby's citizenship should be revoked... for that you absolutely would have to change the Constitution.

Bernie Sanders has already stated he wants to give full AMNESTY to those that are here.

Why would him wanting to reunite them with outside families surprise anyone?

This is part of his plan...and some people think he's the guy to run the U.S.

Yeah it would be a real boring country if no one immigrated. Problem is the wave is getting bigger and bigger, the people who are coming here are unskilled, uneducated, pop out children at an alarming rate and are a huge drain on social programs for OUR citizens.

Since the politicians are unable or unwilling to actually DO anything about it, hows about we just stop legal immigration.

I watched, but I don't speak Spanish because I'm American and all that, and that might have impacted my understanding of a fraction of the anti-American rhetoric spewed but thankfully, I've followed these two traitors long enough to know their stance no matter yesterday's debate platform.

And these two pander to and cater to illegals and immigrants while proudly pushing policies which would kill the American middle class, kill education, kill health care, kill small business and the economy and trend far more towards the disasters we're seeing in parts of Europe where open immigration and socialist/leftist attitudes are tearing once proud nations apart at their fabric.

Pretty terrifying. This is what worries me too. With a president as spineless as Sanders basically encouraging a huge influx, things will get bad.

can you find a case where the supreme court granted citizenship to the child born of two illegal immigrants? just the supreme court, no other instances because that's what I'm trying to point out. If you go by the constitution then it should be adhered to. Not ignore the parts you don't agree with and this president took an oath of office which he invalidates by not enforcing our boarders.

I don't understand it.

There is valid reasoning we have immigration law to begin with.

There is a finite amount of resources available at any given time for a countries residents.

The law was created to slow the flow of immigrants, but apparently that's a problem for some.

We currently have the problem of having too many mouths to feed, and not enough soup to go around.

With no end in sight for the flood of immigrants. It is only going to get worse.

It has gotten so bad it is dragging us down to a third world status.
