This just reinforces it for me that Bernie isn't playing with a full deck.

So an undocumented couple has a baby who was born in the U.S. The baby is now 3 or 4 years old, and the couple gets deported, but the baby can't be deported because they were born here. Now you have separated a mother from her 4-year-old child until she can get her application approved.

You people are animals. Wait, that's insulting to animals.

I am not saying that the children should be eaten or something like that.
I think it is a ludicrous idea to pay to bring back a person that we have deported.
They usually come back on their own accord anyway. It isn't like Mexico and Guatemala chains them up down there... and our border seems to be fairly porous.

Yeah, except the Constitution guarantees citizenship to anyone born on US soil.

And they should not be guarantee income.

When is the LEFT going to join me?

So lets build a wall and halt legal immigration. Lets deport people that can't prove citizenship when they come into contact with police.

I don't see why not. If I'm arrested or don't have a drivers license I should have to prove who I am. If I'm not a legal citizen I should get shipped back.

just trying to stay on topic unlike what usually happens threads of these types. by the way, did you ever find the word Anchor baby in the constitution? hmm found this in my link

Here's what it says: "The Congress shall have power to establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization." You know what that means. That means Congress decides who becomes a citizen and how. To automatically say the 14th Amendment grants birthright citizenship, no, we can't change that.
