If I'm going to vote, it'll be for the person who will screw with me the least.

I don't need big government, I don't trust big government, I don't want big government.

Because he is not a career politician spewing the same drivel that is put in front of the US election cycle after election cycle. We are stuck with the lesser of the two evils regardless so lets get one that might actually do something interesting for a change. It can't get much worse than what hope and change has already done, so lets do this thing already!

Like create WWIII without even batting an eyelash.

"I'm gonna vote for him just to see what happens."
Gotta admit - it sure would be good fodder for Late-Night entertainment.

Exactly, that's only reason I am going to vote for him, just to see what happens.

I believe this is going to be a fun roller coaster ride.

May be. Could maybe be.

But, productive on the world stage when it's so fraught with geopolitical chaos?
I have serious doubts.

I wonder, does anyone actually believe he could force Mexico to build a 1300 mile long wall at their border like he claimed he would do?

HA!, no. It's funny, Most really aren't going to take the time to understand his mindset, but he spelled it out in his book. In a negotiation, you start by asking for something huge and ridiculous, so when it comes to compromise, what you actually get is exactly what you wanted in the first place. If you watch his strategy, that's exactly what he is doing. And it's working. He get's free press every time his mouth opens, and most of the time when his opponents mouth opens. Hillary finally found a tiny clue and stopped responding to him, but the damage is already done. (and hopefully she will be in a square cell instead of an oval office.)

Trump may be a lot of things, but dumb isn't one of them.

I wonder what conservative/GOP citizens will do if Trump's rhetoric transforms into policies that tyrannize American Hispanics and Muslims? Nobody thought Hitler would do what he did in regards to stripping the rights from the people he personally feared.

You do realize that congress writes the laws, correct?

The president can only sign or veto them.

I'm voting for Trump because I took the time to learn what he was about - rather than getting my info from the media! He wants to give the people a voice, he wants America to be like it use to be...back when things were normal!

and the majority of GOP politicians would trample people rights in an instant in fear that they will labeled as not conservative enough.

I think executive orders directed against Mexicans and Muslims would not be challenged by the GOP until it was out of hand.

1.) I am not a Trump supporter, but I don't hate him either. So let's get that out of the way.

For one thing, he's spending his own money. For another, everyone who is anyone political HATES him - left, right, it doesn't matter. They all dislike him, so he must be doing something right on that score. Clearly, he's not in anyone's club when it comes to that, and if it's some kind of conspiracy to dupe people, then it's a huge one because everyone in the entire political scene must be in on it.

And people are so mad at DC that they want people no one in DC likes. That explains why Trump, Cruz and Carson were so strong for so long.

You are joking right?

Did you hear Nikki Haley's speech? Everyone LOVES her today because she chastised that line of thought - left, right, alike.

And when I say right, I mean DC right which isn't really the same as what those of us out in the great unwashed think of as right.

That's fine to hate on the GOP.

If they write laws that are unconstitutional, then challenge them on it.

If Trump acts on unconstitutional executive orders, then call him on it.

You fear a Trump kingdom like many feared the Obama kingdom. All he (Obama) did was cower a lot and lie.

Same as any politician.

not just on ATS. Why would any Sane, Rational, human being support Donald Trump ?

International observers are watching the rise of Donald Trump with an alarm which just isn't being seen in the USA among the average voter.

Trumps ideas are so extreme, and so obscene, that any sane person looking into what he really stands for would go running for the door, and not be one of the thousands who are attending his rallies.

Trump reminds me of Hitler in the early days. The same fiery speeches, the same use of religion to create an enemy to bond the crowd over. The same use of pure falsehoods, rhetoric, and dramatic statements to make his points.

The common enemy in Hitler's day was the Jews. In Trumps day, it's Muslims.

Both Hitler and Trump used fear to make their crowds of listeners unite in their resolve around rhetoric rather than around fact.

The more insane the rhetoric, the more the crowd grow to love it.

America is in a very, very dangerous place.

That's you not me.

I am only one of approximately 320 billion. A country president needs to represent ALL.

I'll take care of my personal wants and desires locally. Or choose to live in a local area that better fits me.

No, I am actually serious. If Donald Trump decides to mobilize the National Guard to go door to door to deport Mexicans
and detain Muslims ("until he can figure out what's going on") what recourse is there? Probably 35% of America would support it and even champion it as a practical way to address a problem many think is very pressing.

Same thing I see.

I personally know a few Trump supporters who would have no problem with rounding up the Mexicans and Muslims with post hast. To them, it is a seriously problem that warrants bold, direct action.

Have all of you already forgotten about San Bernadino? Are you all so numb and conditioned that you would rather compare one of the most successful businessmen in the US who is simply speaking his mind to Hitler rather than rationally think about the fact that terrorists are entering our country using our piss poor excuse for an immigration system?

It is not fear it is fact. Instead, you have the POTUS who says he will not endorse a DNC candidate but he can take a job at someone who is running for office. Then, a party member calls him out. THIS IS THE FEAR. It is in the hearts of the establishment that are afraid because people are sick of the stare of the union. A government that has grown so large and out of control that they will stand by after 7 years and still blame everything on any other predecessor and will take responsibility?

A police officer was shot in Philadelphia by a man who had traveled to countries that support terror. If he had been screened on the way back in he could have been stopped. The administration is silent.

WAKE UP AND SPEAK UP AND SAY WHAT YOU WANT. Many of you say that a Muslim can protest Trump but we as voters cannot protest the current government???

And more to the point. If Trump is extreme "Right" for asking for a LAWFUL border process, and VETTING of Refugees, given the situation in Europe and almost ALL of the Mid East and ISIS' own expressed words....if that is "Right Wing" to you....you are lost and in the way.

Please step aside.

Yes, consider that Jimmy Carter, who was one of the most compassionate and decent presidents in my families opinion, including his wife, and was democrat, also closed borders to High Risk, your point is a very good one.

The borders need to be closed to all High Risk immigrants. Only very careful vetting of some should ever take place if at all, because the real method of helping involves:

Setting aside land in that area

Sending aid

Stop destabilizing their countries and aiding and abetting terrorists.

That would do it for most issues.

This is a major Trojan Horse!

And its also criminally endangering our countries which is a high felony akin to treason, aiding and abetting terrorists, oh and also treason.

This is done for the most horrible reasons going, by the most evil corrupt beings on this planet.

And the concept of a nation, with borders and maintaining the population and culture and politics of its country, instead of changing it drastically, is the birthright AND inheritance of all the children in it.

They felt that way about Reagan too though, and Bush. They loved Obama and look where we are now.

Maybe the world isn't the best judge of presidents?

First; where are your credentials that can sit and declare all "insane" who support Trump. I would like to see your doctorate in psychology for that one.

Second, all you have is fear, and all you see is fear whenever you see or hear Trump. Why? Because he challenges and stands against this communist utopia you have your liberal progressive hearts set on turning this nation into.

So what do we hear, that armchair psychologists declare us "insane" or simply stupid, that Trump is like Mussolini, or Hitler, or going to nuke everyone or round up US citizens - that is what we hear. Why? because he is willing to take this country away from run-away government, shore up our borders a bit, and fix some of the very real problems this country faces, problems created by the elites; the career politicians who are terrified of loosing their control over the populace.

And they spread the fear, fear you eat for breakfast then, in turn, run around spreading in order to protect them from people who want their country back.

So no, I wont buy into your fear - I will however face the facts concerning the state of this nation. We take it back now, or risk loosing it forever to socialist, communist ideals promoted by an elite who are immune to prosecution with more power than any need.

We cry about this being a police state now, if we don't do something to stop it, it will become unbearable if they keep on going unchecked.
