I may fully regret this, however it comes to mind....
So here goes....

Who really wants another smooth talking lawyer in The White House???
Says the right things, promises the world but....

Yes, Donald says some things that are controversial,
but he says them outright, that is known as honesty.

He is no different than any other politician that is not perfect;
non of them have ever been.

Yes, there are other things about all of the candidates, and
I am not a "Trump supporter" so far...but I do not think he
is any worse of a person than many elected officials,
and in fact is probably a better person than some or
many politicians in office!

Especially Hillary Clinton, for the love of email look at
her comments she has made about other dignitaries
around the world, and other officials in the U.S.
The things she has said in her emails... the true
picture of who she is, are disgraceful. She refrained
from mocking a few...who contributed
millions to her and her "Crime Foundation"

So, I can see why so many people are optimistic
about his campaign, to be honest I will be following
with caution, but I know almost everything he
is campaigning on strikes a chord with a majority of folks.

ETA: He is not afraid to speak out against the corruption,
the weakening of the country, he is not pandering,
says what he means and if you dont like it - tough.

Yes, he is rough around the edges, but better than a smooth talker.

State.gov I imagine.

But as a sampling...from leaked cables.
( yes there is quite a bit more in her emails )

Hillary's comments about Berlusconi, Sarkozy, Medvedev:

In one cable, released this week by the Web site Wikileaks,
Berlusconi is unflatteringly described as "feckless, vain and ineffective."

Also at the meeting of the organization of Security and Cooperation in Europe were French President Nicolas Sarkozy, described in one cable as "mercurial" and Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, a confidant of Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, whom American diplomats called "Robin to Putin's Batman

Well Trump calls Mexicans Rapists and Murderers -

I think it is less offensive that Hillary is speaking of government officials, just my opinion.

It seems today on ATS just like every time election comes around on ATS that the candidates dominate the forums although as a Brit I do find this rather annoying if I can’t beat em’ I might as well join them. So with that said I have been taking part in the odd thread every now and then that sparks my interest most of which as concerned one particularly conversional candidate.

Donald Trump.

Every time I enter into one of these threads I am struck by the same thought and I think it is about time I let it out and ask this question.

Why would anyone on ATS support trump?
Sometimes, people just want to see the whole world burn....

The reason I ask this is very simple, ATS up until even last year if I recall was awash with threads about the “1%”, it’s a common theme throughout ATS where we discuss the “Elite” and their “Agenda”. There is lots of talk of an elitist New World Order who amass wealth and power to squash the little guy. To me trump is the perfect embodiment of this spectre, a man who only seems to be interested in amassing wealth and power for his on personal gain to me Trump is no better than a Rothschild, Winsor the Bush family and so on.

With that said then I don’t understand why people on ATS seem to be supporting him, surly he is “one of them”.

Now yes I know there are many on ATS who would argue that they don’t believe in the New World Order or some kind of nefarious elitist secret society (to be clear I don’t believe either) so perhaps this thread is not so much target at you. However there seems to be quite a lot of support for this man who seems to fit the bill for one of the “elite” so why do ATS members support him?

And there's the answer.

Trump is uncontrolled and uncontrollable. He's the proverbial loose cannon on the deck.

The next year is going to be very interesting.

Go TRUMP EM DOWN. Go Trump.

There are a few reasons that I support Trump. The biggest one is that he speaks his mind most of the time. We get these canned responses mostly from the other candidates and all of the other candidates have been in politics how long now?

He does have business experience, yeah he's filed bankruptcy a few times but he at least has that knowledge of how business should work.

He is talking about problems that we do have like the illegal immigrants, his stance on PC culture, he wants to bring back jobs to America, cutting common core. I help my 9 year old nephew with his math sometimes and the way they were teaching it was mind blowingly idiotic. There are other things too that I agree with him on.

There are also many things that I do not agree with him on his quote on kim jong il that person should never be looked up to. and a few of his stances I do not agree with either. but on the other hand you have Hillary Clinton who should be in jail, if not for this latest scandal for everything else she has tried to pull. It's amazing how many people in their circle are now dead.

Then you have bernie sanders who is a socialist and got intimidated by 2 black lives matter idiots. If those 2 people did that on his home turf how do you think he's going to be in front of Putin or any other world leader? he is weak, I'm sorry but that is my view of him.

Is Donald Trump going to be the best president ever? no his popularity is going off of how Washington and the country has been the last 12-16 years. Trying to find a good leader after 2 failed ones. I am unsure which of those 2 leaders were worse, I think I am leaning towards Obama just because he took Bush's policies and also set back race relations at least 50 years.

The other thing I like about Trump is that he's making politicians scared, They try and play him off as a joke but you can tell how scared they are of him. And maybe people are supporting him because he's not part of the statue quo at least not yet.

Because I can and I will. One of who?

No, he's just a loudmouthed and honest guy who knows how to make money and manage businesses.

He's pretty transparent. Unlike the other shady candidates--especially Sanders (who looks and talks just like that guy who invented Seinfeld) and Hitlery.

Problem is, I don't know if he can win. He has a high negativity rating and those are difficult to change. So, we will have to wait and see what ends up happening in the primary election. I also like Rubio and Cruz.

Stop hatin' on Trump. Sheesh. Don't judge him based off your preconceptions about what he's saying. He's right. Like really right. I don't care if he says it like it is. He reminds me of Roosevelt.

Based on your OP, you don't even know how our election system works and are politically illiterate (in US Gov't/Politics) on several counts. So why do you even care? Because you think you have a point? Show me where Trump attended Bohemian Grove and maybe I'll listen to you. Otherwise, you're just blowing hot air.

I want Trump to win simply because it pisses off so many hive minded and pompous hypocrites. They will cry foul, gnash their teeth, cry a few rivers, and the world will not burn down.

What they are getting with Obama right now is non pasteurized recycled toilet water for government. Perhaps Trump will flush them all down the toilet. That's what the country needs.

The current administration, and many others should be serving life sentences for treason and lots of other crimes. Thefts of the treasury on a grand scale that is obscene to behold. But they don't address any of that, just whine about Trump.. What a pathetic joke.
Half the people in this country don't even know what their true responsibilities are under the constitution and instead are clamoring for complete tyranny by supporting the likes of an Obama Marxist style of government that supports Sharia law creeping in. This is in complete contrast to American goals and values since 1776, until the Obama regime crawled in like slithering worms.

The answer is simple really. The elite like Donald. You basically answer it yourself. They have infinite power and influence. The only thing Donald shares with the poor is ignorance. He's easy to control(simple motives, power, fame and $) and speaks his business in the most urban vernacular that exists, making him popular with kids(idiots).

People that vote Republican at all these days are cutting their own losses somewhere. They know he's not a good candidate. To them it's the 'lesser of two evils' merely because he's conservative, even though he's not even loyal and has proved he will represent either party as long as it gets him famous.

These aren't the strong minded Republicans of the past who lead by example. Divide and conquer is the goal of whoever has infiltrated our political system. Understanding how bad conservative options lead to worse liberal ones, is essential for people that continue to lean to the right with single-issue-voteing and blind party support. Nothing is wrong with being Red. Voting Trump because you're a Red though makes you as ignorant as him. He's supported both sides of the coin, he just wants the coin, duh. You'd have to be nearly a fool to disagree.

It took 5 seconds on Google to find deals involving Trump do circle Bohemian Grove. He's probably not invited because they see what normal people see when they look at him-Rodney Dangerfield. Still doesn't mean he's not a billionaire, and a moron, and daddy Bush isn't pulling the strings.

I make substantial money and my father attends the Grove.

The short of that story is we've turned down being billionaires because we're not as evil as Trump. Bush wouldn't even # with him, if he wasn't ruthless. Wake up people. His hit TV show was him firing people for fun. How can you be that naive?

I cant say at this point with any certainty that I would vote for him. But, it is refreshing to see someone who attacks both parties, and the two party system itself. I think anyone who feels disenfranchised with either party will be drawn to him because he denounces both.

I think the main reason people will vote for him is obama. As a nation we listened to year after year of complaints about business as usual in Washington. We were promised hope and change, the most transparent government ever, etc. And we got none of it. It was eight more years of business as usual. Under Bush all we heard was that democrats were obstructionists. Even when they had super majority and could have passed any legislation they wanted, they did nothing. Then under obama we heard for eight years how the republicans are obstructionists. This is the political version of Dr. Doolittle's Pushmepullyou. An animal that cant make up its mind and has no means of eliminating waste.

Calling Trump transparent is a joke. He's been for/against every issue that exists, and only plays both sides.

He used to literally be considered a liberal because of his social beliefs about VARIOUS leftwing ideas. He's completely against ALL of those now that he's running for president piggybacking on the Republican Parties business fetish.

These Republicans couldn't be anymore satisfied with Two-Face.(From Batman)

That's not the first time I've heard someone in the middle or just left of the middle say that about liberals and progressives. I've even been hearing liberals say that progressives have pushed them to the middle and that they'll be voting Republican in the upcoming election.

I'm a diehard Consequentialist Libertarian for the record. I read Libertarian poets and philosophers like a nerd and have guys like Stefan Molyneux on my iTunes.

I railed against Bush for years and the Neoconservatives were a dark force that crippled us.

But then Obama came. And this Neo Marxism, this new and improved pernicious Leftism has me speechless.

The Leftists in America and globally have become the most pernicious vile vermin scum I have seen in my life outside of the Salafi Islamists.

Im supporting the "Right" not because I think they have the answers, but because they are the only ones seemingly CHECKING the Constitution and they are the only power block left as a CHECK to the vile "Progressives".

After 8 years of Obama, probably the most vile and corrupt administration I've seen in my life, and the culture of Leftism that has sprung up here and in Europe I will do anything in my power to eradicate the Neo-Left politically.

It's literally come down to life or death and I want their philosophy extinct. Classical Liberalism is fine, but these Neo Marxist impostors are vermin. The entire culture is subversive and vile.
