Now that this terrorist has been apprehended, we can all expect a tidal wave of criticism and bigotry from the left wing.

From the start of this there was nearly an immediate reaction from the left with twitter comments like "It has to be a Syrian refugee, because it could never be a white Trump supporter, lol". Or "Guy kills people because he's prolife, makes sense". All the way down to the race card "black man wouldn't have walked out alive"

Everything from the left has been politics from the start of this and it's disgusting and shameful. This extremist does not represent the right wing, 2nd ammendment advocates, Christians, or the pro-life movement.

What this extremist has done is undermine every honorable person that believes in any of the above.

If anyone should be pissed, it's the peaceful protestors that sat outside this "health care" abomination of a facility and protested peacefully and prayed to end it. Or the 2nd amendment citizens that responsibly own firearms(like the man who concealed/carry that offered police assistance during the standoff). Or the overwhelmingly amount of Christians who will outright condemn this man's actions.

As an agnostic, pro-life, libertarian, 2nd amendment supporter; I hope they give him the death penalty.

Rest in peace to the two civilians and officer who lost their life in this tragedy and may their families find peace.

This, like everything else during an election cycle, will be used to beat innocent people over the head with.

It will blow over.

May the victims of this horrific crime rest in peace. May the families find peace somehow.

Bigotry? Against whom? Just as this man does not represent the pro life movement for his extremist actions, neither do Muslim extremists represent all of Islam.

If his attack on PP was a political/religious move, correlations can be made that he targeted PP because of the videos recently released by the CMP and the hype over them from the GOP/Media. Maybe his motives had nothing do with either. We can only speculate at this point until the authorities release more information about their investigation.

I couldn't agree more.

The only fact we really have is that he's bat# crazy. Why? Because sane people, regardless of political religion, don't do this.

I didn't think it had been released what his actual motive was yet. So the idea that he is an anti-abortion radical is still up in the air.

I think we can assume that to be most likely, but aren't we always told ... even when the terrorists yell "Allah Snackbar" not to make assumptions?

Oh yes ... and also not to tar all anti-abortion folks with the broad brush. After all, the radicals only represent a tiny minority of the larger proportion of people who are actually pro-life ...

And you guys wouldn't want to look like bigots and stuff.

People on the left will use this idiot to push their own hatred and bigotry. It's what people do.

I think that's been the common ground with all of our American mass shootings, mental health issues. No sane person could have done this. Maybe his lawyers will try the temporary insanity defense but we'd first have to find out what recently made him insane to commit such a horrific act. Either way, he will be behinds for the rest of his life.

Just like the Saudi religious propaganda machine is responsible for the dissemination of hateful ideology that spawns ISIS, events like this are the direct responsibility of the right-wing propaganda machine (Fox News) that disseminates its own hateful ideology and encourages nutcases to do such things.

So you can say that extremists like this are to Pro-lifers as much as ISIS is to Islam but Islam has a big stinking, rotting, festering abscess at its very core and so does the Pro-Life, right-wing fundamentalist Christian movement.

Once we start accepting where the propaganda and manipulation is coming from we can move forward as a human race. Unfortunately America is going backwards, Europe is going backwards, the Middle East is going backwards. Fundamentalism threatens to destroy the very fabric of our civiliasation. Our society has been hijacked and no-one can see it or even cares. Everyone wants to complain about their own ideology being infringed upon when the world is teetering on the edge of total annihilation.

Left vs Right, people, blogs, and media outlets from both camps do this.

Agreed, the left wing is committing the same fallacy with this extremist as the right wing does with Muslim terrorist.

Correlations mean nothing and trying to tie his actions to those videos is reckless speculation and pointless unless your challenging free speech.

Ah yes, the go-to "insanity" defence of any terrorist offence caused by a white Christian. Muslim shoots up a place and it's "Islamic Terroism". Christian shoots up a place and he's just mentally unstable.

Got it.

Sure they do. No side is pristine. Just sitting back and watching the left make themselves look like hypocrites is all.

But relax.

The right will do something to make themselves look like idiots later.

Yes he does.

This whackjob is the direct product of the intolerance, fear & ignorance that the Religious Reich has been preaching for decades.

Own it.

Well that's the problem when people only associate themselves with one side of the political spectrum.

Correlations means everything and if he did attack PP because he's pro life then he surely is aware of the videos and the hype. You can definitely assert his attack was fueled by them. Because the attack was at PP you cannot fault myself and others for thinking this way. Those that support pro life and the CMP will obviously, and already are, be defensive. But again, it's to early to tell what his motives were.

That entirely depends on the motivation of the whack job.

If he targeted PP in order to stop Planned Parenthood from doing what they do, due to his political beliefs, then he is a terrorist.

If he shot up the place because the purple monster convinced him to, or because he smashed up a bunch of anti psychotics and it all went up his nose, then he was just a whack job.

Someone on the other thread here mentioned that this guy had an AK-47, and in a comment section in another forum, someone pointed out that there is a bank robber called the AK-47 Bandit who recently struck in Iowa, has shot a policeman, and hasn't been caught.

Some witnesses have reported this started at a Chase bank that was nearby. It is possible, since no one yet has commented on motive, that this is that person who botched his job and wound up in the PP next door.

No. No innocent person who had nothing to do with this is required to accept responsibility for the crimes of another.

Sound familiar?
