We all have them.

We share many in common.

But for some reason we keep them all buried inside.

Dreams are something we keep locked tightly within, those things we hold in reserve from all but our closest confidants and dearest friends. Only those who exist within our inner circle gain access unto these most personal of revelations.

Only those in whom we place the most trust will we reveal our genuine essence.

Maybe, like me, you dream of becoming an author. Maybe you dream of racing cars. Maybe you dream of climbing mountains or sailing unto exotic locales.

Maybe, like me, you'd like to invite perfect strangers on a cruise around the world--and by the end of that voyage become best friends.

Maybe these passions consume you so utterly that in the depths of your imagination they light fires ablaze.

Yet you so rarely share them with the world.

Instead of talking about our dreams we go through life discussing things mundane and elements trivial. Instead of sharing our passions and connecting with people we create attachments on the most superficial of levels.

We talk about sports. We talk about the news. We talk about the weather.

We talk ourselves into comas discussing things about which none really care.

I'm a private person by nature but I'm working on cracking that habit--because I NEED to crack that habit:

Because small talk makes me sick. So slowly, gradually, painstakingly, I'm opening myself up to the world.

And the world is responding in turn.

No longer will I tolerate conversations about BS. No more will I let discussions wallow in mediocrity.

I talk about my dreams. And if the other person isn't interested, so be it.

Just think:

Imagine a time where you never needed feign interest in what team threw the ball best last night. Envision a realm where you could walk up to a complete stranger and strike up a discussion about metaphysics.

Picture a world where people were so open and genuine they could meet each other and instantly start talking and laughing and playing like we did when we were children.

That's one of my goals--to manufacture a reality where two people could open their hearts without hesitation, and expose their interests with aplomb.

And that's one of my dreams--to live in a place where individuals can be themselves and fit in without needing conform unto a dysfunctional society or remold themselves in the image of something they despise.

I want create a world where people feel free to talk about their dreams.

And that dream we probably share in common. So let's bring it into life together.

Beginning tomorrow, resolve to start opening up just a little bit more. Pledge to put a few slender cracks in your long-guarded shell.

Start showing what makes you passionate. Start discussing what makes you burn.

Please get out there and start talking about your dreams.

Then, together, we can leave the news on television.

And we can leave the weather to nature.

Yeah it's about time. So many are sleep-walking through their wake life, and wake-walking through their dream life (i.e. dreaming about work).

Sweet, this is a better place to post what I had to say. I'll edit this on my laptop...

Many years ago, I found myself joy riding in my car.I was excessively speeding down bypass, typical for me back then.Music blaring, I hit a slick spot and rolled my car into an empty ditch.Blood started pouring out of my nose, and a sadness overcame me.I lay strapped in the car, awaiting the angel of death, and lamenting the disappointing end to a life that had seemed so promising.A strange thing happened as I blacked out.My blood was dripping down onto the crushed roof of my car, I felt it landing!

Only when I woke up, did I realize this was a dream.

Maybe tomorrow, but lastnite crossed too many taboos to mention here.

Maybe the reason most people don't talk of their dreams is cause the dark pits of their subconscious is too damned much to speak about openly in public.

*whistles*

Nah, only one in a dozen or so of mine go off the rails like lastnite.

I had a crazy dream the other night ...

Earthquaking buildings, mudslides, sinkholes, brown lava flows... Putin dropping a small A-bomb... That didn't kill me ... I climbed a tree, it had different archetypes on the way up... The top branches according to my brother who flew me up there to show me were archetype SENSEI... (It was a pine tree BTW) ... there were other archetypes on the way up... My older brother didn't think it through very well because when we landed on the top branches they immediately snapped, and we went straight over, falling about 150 feet ... A long way down... On the way down there seemed to be some sort of idea of a plan ... Like grab a branch..... Anyway nothing manifested and we hit the ground but I landed in a sitting position with my legs crossed and he landed next to me... Thats when I woke up because of how weird it was... My subconscious was like no thus is too weird I must be dreaming so I woke up lol

I too, dream of being a writer. I dream of one day, being completely off grid and self sufficient. I Dream of being a warrior. I Dream of a world much like yours, a world where each person has nothing but love and goodwill for his fellow man and this earth. I Dream of a day when our evil warlike nature will disappear I don't really remember my night dreams though.

Fairy tales can come true it can happen to you.

No really, have a dream, have a goal. Keep an eye on the prize!

I had a dream almost my entire life of being free and living life on my own terms. I worked hard and kept my nose to the grindstone and it happened.

I'm retired and can actually still enjoy life due to our frugality during the earning years. You don't need every new thing that comes out and you also don't need to be in debt.

Of course I'd love to see mankind living in harmony, but I long ago realized there isn't anything I can do about it other than live a good life and treat people decently.
OH! I used to always dream weed would be legal and it is! Talk about livin' the dream.

For my fellow dreamers.

I swear I had this same dream not too long ago.

I had a dream kind of similar to this. Mine was more like comets coming from the sky and igniting the earth like a piece of paper thrown into the fire to burn. One struck what seemed to be only a few hundred yards away. I saw the burst of light and the roaring flames coming at me. As a natural instinct, knowing it wouldn't help, I held my arm up to shield my face from the flame. I felt the bellowing heat and stiff air simmering all around me. Yet, I was still standing there, witness to a testimony knowing that it should have killed me instaneously.

I moved my my arm away from my face. Everything around me was burning to the ground or already ash. Then, like a flash of light, planes started falling from the sky. That's when I thought things were starting to get weird. I saw an explosion in the distance. I thought to myself this is too "weird" to be real.

You know, it's strange; I don't remember the day I had the dream but it feels just as if the dream happened yesterday.

Thanks very much for sharing.

Those are powerful dreams, and I hope all of them come true!

Good stuff OP. We could all benefit tremendously by sharing our experiences from 'the other side'.

Most people aren't comfortable talking about such things, which is unfortunate.

On a few occasions, my dreams have lasted entire lifetimes. When these occur, this life becomes as a dream, and the dream becomes my reality.

Do you ever dream of being in a classroom setting OP? These are the ones that pique my interest the most, even though there can be some difficulty in remembering specific details.

Im open about my dreams, my actual dreams in life and the ones I have while asleep.

My waking dream has always been to work in the space program in some way. Im 36 and still not there but I'm not giving up. It's been crazy but I think I'm getting there slowly, finally.

The dreams I have at night are almost always lucid and/or vivid. I have fun with my dreams most nights and others creep me out.

I have had reoccurring dreams of the ocean receding, I live on the coast of Florida so that tends to freak me out. I'm usually driving on A1A (beachside) and all of a sudden I see the shoreline start going back very fast. I then have dreams of huge waves coming from the ocean and others the wave has hit and everything is under water. I'm sure one would decode those dreams as having to do with my waking life but they still scare me to Death!

I've had classroom and college-setting dreams, usually where I'm in a library studying some subject alone by myself.

I'm pretty sure this related to my vocation in the spirit world, which gives me tons of time for private research and introspection.

I'm also super-glad this topic is taking off a little bit.

I had fun writing it--and I meant every word.

Anyone else brave enough to step forward and share your dreams for this lifetime?

Tons of time indeed. Sometimes I find myself emerging from a virtual reality type experience. It's like standing up after playing a sit down video game; one in which I'm fully immersed with lots of other participants.

We can even go into a place with countless viewing screens and look in on how our friends and family are doing in 'the game', from their first person perspective.

This is but one of the ways I prepare myself for another day in this crazy world. Also there are study groups and lots of time in the 'library'.

I also pack an extensive metaphysical lunchbox, so to speak; and still sometimes dread coming back 'here' for another day. It's never quite as bad as it seems, however.

Regardless, this world is very challenging and there is much to learn here. Tolerance, patience, compassion with limits. These are my greatest obstacles at the moment.

After spending a lot of time in the desert southwest, I have connected with my dreams and built the bridge. Now it's much like going through a revolving door.

My dream is to share these experiences with others, so that they may also be compelled to build their bridge.

Thank you for helping me to fulfill my dreams.

My dream is to accompany someone whose dream is more specific than my own.

Haha, in actuality I do dream for a simpler, more natural world where we don't get bogged down in endless BS like bureaucracy and tax codes and nonsense like that. Where people held the world and each other with more reverence.

My dreams are visions; some make me wake up wishing I was still there, while others serve as warnings.

Fantastic response, thanks for taking the time.

How often do you check in on your friends/family through those viewing screens? I've remote viewed friends before so I could send them energy for healing purposes, and I find it so energetically taxing that I attempt it rarely.

The viewing screen area is a really busy place, like a stock exchange or casino. Very seldom do I go there nowadays, or at least it doesn't stand out in my memory as much as it has in the past.

You mentioned healing, which strikes a chord with me. The color green immediately comes to mind. After going through certain traumatic things in life, I have needed extensive healing in the spirit world. Most often a 'cleansing shower' does the trick, though.

Also I've assisted in healing others at times, as part of a curriculum. It's like making rounds at an infirmary while being accompanied by one or two others. Sometimes it's just to do a quick check to see how someone is progressing.
