If design was intelligent, then we would have 2 pairs of hands (and arms.)Just 1 pair is not enough as we have so many things to do and carry, and this has been the case throughout history. Ergo, intelligent design isincorrect.

As most of you know, I'm the last person to defend creationism, but the OP's argument is stupid and simplistic in the extreme.

Actually we have already discussed stupid design...

www.abovetopsecret.com...

From our vision, not being able to sense CO to some other interesting things noted by Dr. Tyson.

I would add to this brain, I find it that some of our species would benefit from bit extra brain...

Guten Morgen- To quote Lao Tzu "The Tao that can be told is NOT the Eternal Tao" Perhaps the answer to this is on/in the "other side"? This of course only after 'knowing' un-intelligent design...

Life requires a prior prequesite to excist. Therefor excistince is prior to life and life can not have created excistence.

Well at least Earths atmosphere has exactly the right mixture of
gases to sustain a variety of different life forms. And some one
made sure we had plenty of water to drink. Pretty thoughtful
to even provide a water filtration system since 97% of the water
on earth is in the oceans and undrinkable. Seems to me some
people would just rather be ungreatful jackasses instead of
being thankful.

Oh Randy. Always looking to thank a magical being for the good things, but not blaming him for the bad or the millions of things that don't make the least bit of sense for a creator. There is going to be a REAL water shortage problem in the future. You can be part of the solution or sit back and pray (aka do NOTHING about it). The glaciers can't melt forever, we'll eventually run out of fresh water unless we go through another ice age. I wonder if god planned for that? I doubt it. Good thing we have science to try to figure out how to desalinize.

hey - this is not a trick question - but what do you think the following drink ?:

fish [ al salt water species ]

whales [ all salt water species ]

marine mamals [ most ]

sea birds [ most ]

etc etc etc

hint - there is a big clue in the text above

Thankful to who exactly? The Abrahamic god? The Hindu god Shiva? Waheguru of the Sikhs?
There are plenty more to choose from and all with wildly differing myths attached to them.
Then there is the question of why should anyone be grateful? Any creator god created intelligence and questioning minds. I have such a mind and do not meekly believe any particular ancient texts or beliefs which also differ wildly depending on where in the world you wish to pick from.

You of course have the right to be grateful to whichever creator god you believe in, but it takes more than unverifiable writings to convince me about anything. If when I die a sky-god has any beef with me I'll just reply that it was his/her/it's own fault for creating me with a questioning mind. Major fail there for any alleged god.

Trying to figure out what has already been done.
So that's why it's called research.

Yea, if you had extra hands you would be waking off twice as much.
This universe is no question about it designed by the creator,The universe's expansion is accelerating so the big bang did not happen, They now find all atoms are breaking apart and reforming so fast they cant measure the frequency, so it is being redesigned trillions of times every nano- second . The sub atomic particles that speed in many times light speed have inboard memory for destination and direction, then break apart and speed off again. In other words every thing you see is blinking on and off. All Newtonian laws are merely rules that we are to perceive, nothing is solid ,nothing is real.

Nothing of what you posted is evidence of a creator god though, no matter how much you may wish it to.

Why get ahead of yourself? First you need to figure out that
we humans couldn't possibly be the ultimate intelligence in
existence. And also that the chances of all that is, happening
purely by chance? Are far more remote then the possibility
of a Creator being resonsible. No matter how much you try to
flip flop the issue. Baby steps.

Intelligent design would in theory create a race of many different types of humans with the ability to perform different tasks e.g. carry massive loads, breath underwater, survive in harsh climets and so on. You could say a standard human design is flawed, for example, we breath through the same place we eat, thus increasing the risk of choking and death.

In the grand scheme of things, we may be a test to see how 'humans' workout, then maybe edit of required. Humans are weak, we only survive because of our intelligence and skills at forging weapons and buildings.

Nope I don't need to figure out anything when I say there is no evidence of a creator therefore I shall not invent one to fill in the gaps of human knowledge.
Your position requires faith, mine does not.

Faith is good, but it doesn't just end there.
Unbiased common sense tells us that the universe should
simply not operate the way it does. In fact the laws that
existence obeys must be infinite. And yet all are obeyed
everyday continually without faulter. Laws and information
passing do not just occur. They are evidence of intent.
And you have nothing better to offer that explains these
things anyway. DO YOU?

I don't need to invent a sky god to fill in the blanks of knowledge, but I respect your right to do so.
I'll leave you to the thread, just pointing out that all you have is belief, not fact.
On my way out I refer you to the final sentence of my signature

My intent was only to put up an arguement.
Not to convince anyone of anything. But to
justify my own reasoning. To believe the way I do
is perceived by many to be ignorant, nerdy or
uncool. When in fact, it's pretty bitchen.

Good day Sand
