Nonesensical Doom Porn. In my opinion.

Maybe a notch above chemtrails and Zetatalk but just barely.

And what variety of "nonsensical porn" is your assertion that protests from November 2014 are the reason Walmart is closing five stores for alleged plumbing issues right now? Have you got a cool little dismissive moniker for that, or is it just plain nonsense?

Has anyone seen this angle on it?
This is odd because a friend of mine who normally doesn't fall into this type of stuff just told me about Operation Jade Helm and what he thinks is the connection.
This friend is a multi-millionaire living in the Florida keys. Not exactly the conspiracy theory type.
This link seems a little extreme, but gets in the same territory as what he was telling me.

How can there be so many incompetent plumbing contractors across this country? And, how the hell do they stay in business?

I'm an old software type with probably way too math behind me...but
The probability that 5 Walmart's would have the same issue is: 6.415e-24 ... almost non existent!

On the other side of the coin , it does not have to be inept contractors. WalMart has the blueprints for the stores drawn up and then sends out to the various construction firms , etc. Most are from one blueprint that was designed per WalMart and built , plumbed , laid out the exact same using the exact same materials . If this is the case , there may be more closing notices soon or it could have been these stores were built with a flawed plan .

Possible, but, I think improbable. There are thousands of stores worldwide...only 5 have failed...and we probably shouldn't get into the probabilities of them "failing" at the same time...even IF it was a systemic design issue, that would not account for the simultaneous failure, and we'd be right back at the same approximate probability...

Unless of course those were the first 5 of that design. Also, their plans still have to meet local standards, which probably doesn't happen with only one "blueprint." I'm quite sure the plumbing standards are quite different between L.A. and say Dallas, TX.

Let's see.

On the one hand we have irrefutable evidence that Walmart engages in tactics like this against unions. We have union representatives suggesting this may be what happened this time. You have laid off Walmart employees suggesting this what may be what happened. The LA store that was closed was the flagship store for those trying to unionize Walmart.

On the other hand we have your repetition of the myth that TPTB are going to soon start rounding up people to ship to detention camps. For which the evidence is what? You're saying 2014 is too long ago to be pertinent? Do you realize how old these stories are? I remember listening to shortwave back in the nineties and getting worked up about crap like this. And you know what? None of it ever happened. It's all baloney.

Does anyone know how many of the 4 states in question are right to work states? That could be a clue on a union question or not.

Googled this:

The 25 states which have passed Right to Work laws are: Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Kansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Nebraska, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas,Utah, Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

So the states where it is happening are not all right to work - California is not, but Texas, Utah, Florida, and Oklahoma are Right to Work states.

Well , with most being right to work states is kind of a deal breaker on the unions. In a right to work state the company can just terminate you and hire someone else . The unions in these states are almost powerless. I was thinking that may be that the 4 states were not right to work and could not perhaps keep the unions out or out of the game. Which would explain why they closed those stores. But most are.And , just in case I have offended someone , I was shop steward for a major union for 10 years at the location where I worked and it was a right to work state

I am within a quarter mile of the Midland, Texas Wal-Mart...that IS Closed.
Others have told me that they've seen security-type personnel patrolling the grounds.
I have not witnessed the same - but seldom look that direction, when passing.
This is not a "low priced neighborhood".
By the way - the Midland, Texas Walmart that is closed...is not the one on Interstate 20...it is on Midland Drive at Loop 20 (they are different/separate stores.)

That is correct.
My son and wife both commented on it, the day they saw it closed, and asked if I knew anything.
I did not... Still don't - but, pretty coincidental...

I haven't read all 18 pages so I don't know if it's been posted but I can tell you Walmart certainly would close five stores to avoid even ONE store from being unionized. (I used to work for a large union).

They got in trouble in Canada for closing a store after it was unionized. So to make this one look a little less blatant, they took a few others with it. They would rather lose six months profits for 5 stores than see their wages increase indefinitely for all their stores.

It's also standard practice for unethical companies not to give any notice for layoffs. You don't want pissed off employees who already know they are losing their job in your store for two weeks. It's not like Target or Walgreen are going to call Walmart for a reference.

Knowing Walmart, there is a simple explanation for all of this:

The plumbers hired don't know where any of the pipes are, where they go, or what aisle they should be in.

There, mystery solved.

Maybe the government purchased all the merchandise in those 5 stores for its underground survival bunkers?

Remember the fight last month that started in the bathroom at a Walmart in Tuscon?

They still don't know who these people were

An overnight brawl in an Arizona Walmart parking lot has left one person dead and two others wounded, including a police officer who was shot in the leg. The Arizona Department of Public Safety says a Cottonwood police officer was shot just before midnight last night as he and a group of officers tried to break up the melee.

The incident began when a Walmart employee noticed that a large group of people were in one of the store's restrooms, department spokesman Bart Graves says. The employee was shoved by one of the suspects when she tried to enter, he says. By the time Cottonwood police arrived, the group had made its way to the parking lot. Officers were immediately attacked and there was a struggle for an officer's gun.

One suspect was fatally shot, a second suspect was shot in the abdomen, and a Walmart employee also suffered cuts on his arm. The wounded 31-year-old officer underwent surgery and is expected to recover. There were a total of three gunshots, and it was still unclear last night who fired the shots, Graves says.

Seven officers suffered minor injuries, including lacerations and bruising. Seven suspects were taken into custody and were later booked on charges that included aggravated assault, attempted homicide, and obstruction, per Graves.

It's unclear if everyone in the group is part of the same family. The department says in a statement that they were driving a Chevrolet Suburban with an Idaho license plate. "We don't know who they are at this point," Graves says. "They are not cooperating."

Maybe Walmarts are having "plumbing" problems.

They announced who the family was. It was a Christian travelling band that was a family of 8 or so that lived off the land and all travelled together. They even released video of the fight between the cops and the family.

Here's a discussion thread about the family
