The "nothing new about scandals" Clintons

THE CLINTON SCANDALS

Hillary Clinton's Skeleton Closet

Whitewater controversy

republicans see a scandal behind every tree, except in their own forest.

...and, when it comes to their own scandals, it appears that Liberal Democrats can't seem to see the Forest through the Trees.

I don't question a liberal democrat's eyesight...I question their honesty and morals. I'm sure they see the forest...they just choose to ignore it.

likewise

Gotta ask...does "likewise" mean you agree, that you agree but in the direction of the conservative republicans or that you question my honesty or morals. Could be taken three ways. I would agree with you on the first two.

change liberal democrat's eyesight to conservative republicans eyesight

Would you agree both are correct, or just one? I would say both.

believe it or not, there are sane republican politicians that have been able to negotiate with sane democrats to reach consensus where each side doesn't get everything, but overall the legislation would be good for the majority of Americans
I don't want to live in a purely socialist country, nor do I want to live in a country that is a plutocracy....let me illustrate one example........Obama is trying to Fast track the TPP, which is a trade agreement with Asian countries, which includes hampering Americas ability to set their own labor and wage standards, now the democrats are fighting against Obama on this, but where are the republicans that should be standing with them, to keep labor and wage standards up in this country, not a peep....

Regarding hillary's crimes-how many people have to be involved before charges of conspiracy are brought forward?

I'm willing to bet that her aides/accomplices did most of the dirty work regarding the destruction of the drives-not to mention the ones we will probably find out about in the nsa that are probably in the process of removing all relevant data at the order of people higher on the chain than hillary.

Actually, Hillary thought ahead and had that angle covered.
She had her lawyers do the email selection, deletion and server wiping..Read:.ATTORNEY/CLIENT PRIVILEGE
Even if they get subpoenaed to testify, they won't have to answer.
She was calculating the entire destruction process and cover-up.

RNC on Clinton: 'Even Nixon didn't destroy the tapes'

Clinton's lawyer informed the House Select Committee investigating Benghazi on Friday that Clinton no longer had copies of any emails from her four-year tenure as secretary of State, ending in 2013.
Clinton's lawyer, David Kendall, reportedly told House investigators that after aides determined which emails were private and which were government-related, an account setting was changed to only save emails sent in the past 60 days, adding the setting was changed after she responded to the records request.

“Thus, there are no [email protected] emails from Secretary Clinton’s tenure as secretary of State on the server for any review, even if such review were appropriate or legally authorized,” Kendall said in a letter to Gowdy's committee, according to The New York Times.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

What is truly abominable is that this theater is perpetrated and wholeheartedly adopted and supported by those who are supposed to be speakers of truth.

This is not NEW behavior my friends. Many among us have long labored to point out that there is a lawless cabal of people successfully masquerading as leadership; they own the media, they craft the stories, they manufacture consent, they 'create' the politics.

This particular example of unaccountability is by no means the only, nor even the worst that has been kept from us by the same folks who've been in charge of the government since the 60's (maybe earlier even.) It is a nonsensical affectation of our society that we choose to believe the idea that we can actually be free where laws apply only to some; and questioning that reality is considered as 'questionable.'

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

It's safe to say they are still around because of the "We Save All Data" frame of mind the NSA employs. We should ask them what she is hiding. Come to think of it they probably have some dirt on all politicians. Everything from cheating on your wife to aiding foreign states. I wonder if they can use that to make sure congressman stay loyal to the "All seeing Eye" gang!

I cant tell if your stupid or trolling?

Since when is the destruction of evidence something to just shrug off like "eh, whatever, just state corruption, *yawns*"?

Whatever were you outraged about before there was even email? About the hundreds of pols who never even use email? About the fact that virtually nothing that important would ever even BE committed to an email to begin with?

This entire subject is a non-starter in addition to having already been beaten to death both here and in the media.

There simply is nothing left to say about it. In many, many peoples' opinions. No matter how outraged some people are or how much hand wringing and dramatizing some people care to do about it.

I agree. Disgusting

The destruction of evidence is a disgusting crime and is proof of the guilty mind (mens rea).

You do realize that tampering with evidence is illegal, right?

Why do you want people to stop talking about your hero Hillary violating the law and continuing to violate the law?

Do you support a liar who has been connected to various deaths and a former corrupt attorney who fought to get child molesters off, and who was also fired by the firm that she worked for because she lied and violated the law back then as well?

Your mindless robotic support for her says a lot about yourself. It's sad and very pathetic. Guess what, nothing is going away, this is only the beggining of her life long lies and lawless nature being exposed. ~$heopleNation

I think you nailed it with your first assumption my friend.

The rule of law means absolutely nothing to these fixated, self centered progressive nut cases who support this basket case career liar in an empty suit. ~$heopleNation

Let us hope that the Democrats can field a candidate that is not named Clinton and that the GOP gets their heads out of ....where they have been for the last 15 years, and field a candidate that is not named Bush. The country needs better choices, not dynasties. Both parties need to nominate moderate candidates. The Tea Party seems to be fading. Reid is retiring. There are some left coast members and a few Southern dolts that can still tie things up but the public is getting tired of the shenanigans of the big dogs.
Should Hillary run, the GOP's Benghazi and server sound bites won't have near the killer that the Dems have. Barbara Bush famously said that the country has had enough Bush presidents [she is right.] If Jeb runs, that clip will be played with the tag line, "Even his own mother wouldn't vote for him."
Given the public displeasure with Obama and his cronies who are not good 'ol boys, the Republicans actually have a chance at winning if they can find a few middle of the road candidates that can appeal to more than the religious right and the KKK. I never underestimate the bumbling stupidity of political parties and the Republicans have been the poster children of clueless political schemes for a while, now. Hillary has been set up for the run by Obama as she now has international experience on her resume. The issues with the server and whatever Benghazi dirt can be dug by the GOP will not resonate with the public like Barbara's comments and the general feeling that there has been one too many Bush presidents, already.
Anyone but Bush or Clinton.

Unfortunately, The GOP is too brain dead and out of touch with America to not nominate another Bush. They will nominate Jeb, and Rubio will be his VP in order to attempt to land the Hispanic vote.

As much as I hate to admit it, The nutcase Democrats might surprise us all and wise up once again like they did the last time by not nominating another Clinton.

Then you have the fact that it's all been set up, paid for and decided already by the internationalists that put Obama into the Oval Office.

Who really knows, It's pretty much a circus side show for the herds at this point. Sad story it is. ~$heopleNation

The debate about her actions being legal or illegal -

Fall into the illegal category:
44 USC 33 - Federal Records Act

Defined -

As used in this chapter, “records” includes all books, papers, maps, photographs, machine readable materials, or other documentary materials, regardless of physical form or characteristics, made or received by an agency of the United States Government under Federal law or in connection with the transaction of public business and preserved or appropriate for preservation by that agency or its legitimate successor as evidence of the organization, functions, policies, decisions, procedures, operations, or other activities of the Government or because of the informational value of data in them.

44 USC 3303a - Examination by Archivist of lists and schedules of records lacking preservation value; disposal of records
** - Some things to note - When you read the info you are going to see that they use the term archivist. No where in the text is Hillary Clintons name mentioned. When she addressed the issue she also stated that her lawyer went through the emails. Im not sure why she brought that up since the law doesn't include lawyers when you see the term archivist.

Also - For those going after Congress for demanding the emails -

(c) The Archivist may request advice and counsel from the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate and the Committee on House Oversight of the House of Representatives with respect to the disposal of any particular records under this chapter whenever he considers that—

(1) those particular records may be of special interest to the Congress; or

(2) consultation with the Congress regarding the disposal of those particular records is in the public interest.

44 USC 3314 - Procedures for disposal of records exclusive

The procedures prescribed by this chapter are exclusive, and records of the United States Government may not be alienated or destroyed except under this chapter.

She does not get to determine which emails are which. The archivist is the person who gets to determine that and can do so in conjunction with the agency head. However the final decision belongs to the archivist. When she destroyed the records it was outside of the requirements set forth in the law.

What we are seeing is the Legislative branch acting as a check on the Executive branch - which is exactly what the Constitution states.

Long story short she broke the law.

My support for Hillary? Can you even read? Your assumption of my "support for Hillary" proves you can't.

Guess what? I have issues with this throughout government. What I find repulsive about this is that many here do not, at their ignorance, and at their bashing one person and not taking issue with the systemic disease.

I take issue with the small minds that discuss and attack a person, the average minds that get bogged down in events, and the lack of great minds that can address the root causes and recognize that it is no one person or event that is at issue here.

Again, you are missing the entire point. But blather away as if any of this is going to make any kind of difference.

I see the comedic value of these kinds of diatribes and sometimes participate for the laughs,,,but, again, the real action that needs to be taken is not at the person level, it is as a much higher level that those of you rabid to hang or vilify or shame a person just cannot comprehend or even see because you get so blinded and mislead.

Another assumption that I don't care about punishing corruption. Where has that been proved? Where has it been proved that a law has even been broken? Or that if it has there will be no consequence.

Pardon me for not jumping to conclusions or on your pitchforky bandwagon and being patient enough to wait until all the facts are in.

If you want to get irate about something, try this.

Or this.

Or this.

Or this.

Or this.

Yeah...maybe SOME of you also cared about those last few things, but somehow I doubt it. My level of irateness of ANY corruption or shirking or law-breaking in government or politics is unilateral. But I try to keep it in perspective.

Most of these people knew she used her own email then and didn't give a fig until or because they want to hang her for Benghazi.

Or even campaigning for or finding a candidate you do believe in, who will make a difference.

And pardon me for thinking the priorities in this nation and in the world are screwed up and for seeing the relative triviality and hatred of a single person here and so little addressing of the fact that this is a U.S. problem and not a one-person problem.

Demand the emails of ALL the candidates, of all the people in office when ALL the events of the last three decades took place or

Whatever. I'm over the kind of small-minded, tunnel visioned trying to make something out of nothing because you hate Hillary or Obama for whatever you hate them for.

And to those who DO get outraged when one of your "own" (another thing I can't relate to at a party or partisan level) does this too, I'm not including you. Most of you won't even admit you're doing this.

Over and out.

Dates for those laws please, and their amendments and the electronic portions. Proof that the pertinenet emails were not turned over when she left the job or as requested relative to when the server was "wiped," do not exist in the recipients or NSA's archives or elsewhere, or for that matter ever even existed to begin with.

This is 90% assumption and speculation in this and every other thread about this on this site and elsewhere. I see very few facts.

I guess when I said I wasn't coming back here, I meant yesterday. This time I really mean it.
