Seriously. I understand the plight some people can be in. About 20 years ago, I wouldn't have been able to find $10 at one point, and still needed to feed my kids and keep a roof over our heads. I know what it's like.

Why didn't ATS put up a donation button years ago?... It's extremely easy to contribute (for those who can) to a site that has provided so much for free. A venue to share your thoughts and information with thousands, a cool place with so much to interact with, learn from and discuss with people from literally everywhere. You post here and thousands will likely see/read it. You can't put a price on the unique, engaging, thought provoking hours of free entertainment available here 24/7/365 (less DDoS interruptions)... It's priceless.

I hope this eases the financial burden, and provides some investment capability for the owners to be creative, with fewer limitations.

Awesome site, amazing community.... Take it to the next level, and beyond.

Well I said something about this being something so wrong because nobody else was questioning it including you. Why didn't you remind him of SO's request as that was Skeptic's statement on that kind of circumstance? Wouldn't this response have been better served with a hearty thank you for wanting to do it but please take care of yourself been more appropriate?

Transparency. They've given the reasons they'd like donations. They can't control other people's behavior.

Welcome to ATS New member, the beauty of this is in the fact that no one is compelled or required to donate a damned thing here... Unlike other vulger and repulsive, generally perverse and extremely racist forum communities where if you don't want to be banned you MUST pay for a subscription, and keep it. Maybe you'd be happier over there?
