How would you react to a handicap?

Hiya folks...

Ok...

I have a sick and twisted sense of humour and laugh about most things in life...

However, after viewing this pretty old video I did not laugh... I snorted... am I sick?

I was just so embarrased for the poor guy who was trying his best to explain himself...

The nervous laughing fit and snorting from the interviewer is quite understandable but the worst is seeing the other handicapped person in a wheekchair trying to stifle his/her tears...

What would be your reaction in such a situation??

Explain why you did or did not laugh because of someone elses handicap please? :

Ok i laughed

but I laughed at the journalist laughing at the dudes voice.

Not so much his voice but more the journalists reaction which was very funny

Man he was trying so hard not to laugh, Ive had to try and hold it in before and it is the worst feeling in the world.

I must be too coz i laughed, not at his voice but at the interviewer's laughter. At the overall situation.
It certainly was'nt that funny, the high pitched voice.

But as a 90 second clip, its LOL funny

I dunno. I didnt find it funny much. I guess I'd laugh at someone who does, when they have no control over their personal things, like when they have life makes them a laughing stock for others when they admit to laughing at more unfortunate people.

swings and roundabouts. you know.

just hope you never get into such a situation. may life not be as cruel to you.

Yeah I laughed, can't help it really. Your not sick at all

As much as it is a problem for the poor chap, its when I notice the show is about other people with handicaps and seing this guy with that voice just made me loose it. I feel slightly bad afterwords but I find its the 'out of place funny' type scenario.



But with added laughter from the journalist....Just sums up for a laugh in my case

And not one smile from the audience, tough crowd.
I feel terrible that I laughed my arse off, both at the squeaky voice and the hosts reaction.
Not that I mean to laugh at a disabled person at all, but as others have said it's more of a situational humor.

Fake.

The TV show director is focussing on the host's performance.

This isn't about the handicapped people, if indeed they really are.

I have worked on hundreds of comedy shows and know a failed joke when I see it.

If this idiotic and cruel ACT wasn't the intention of the show's producers they would have stopped recording and started over.

Totally fake and in extremely bad taste.

I've seen this before. I won't lie I laughed but I laughed at the reporter who couldn't stop laughing. I've never laughed at someone with a disability.

I'm sure the host felt horrible but it seemed like it was an uncontrollable reaction.

This is not the same but it's about uncontrollable reactions. One of my coworkers years ago was a bigger girl and well she looked pregnant. She also didn't do much to help her looks with the junk she ate and the clothing sizes being far too small. WEll one day someone asked when she was due and I just burst out laughing and excused myself to the back all the while biting my cheeks to keep from laughing. I felt bad but for some reason I immediately cracked up. It was not the first or last time she was asked that question.

OMG, how can you not laugh at the reporter? Not at the disabled man, but that reporter cracked me up. It's one of those situations where you hear someone laughing hysterically and you and everyone around them laughs too, even though none of us have any idea what the person was even laughing about.

A euro comedy show in very poor taste.

Someone wrote this skit SPECIFICALLY ABOUT people laughing at handicapped!!!

Whether it's real or not, I didn't laugh. I felt nauseated, sad and quite angry at the interviewer, but laughter was the last thing on my mind.

If it is a comedy skit, I don't think it's funny.

This pathetic play would be repeated until a complete act was recorded without as much as a smirk from the audience.

As someone who is disabled I think it was funny as hell life is to short to be unhappy.
