ahhhh...noooo. in this case many of the people here know exactly what they are talking about. Some of them know so much they have to re read their posts before they hit send to make sure they don't get angry phone calls and knocks on their door.

Besides, some of the people on this thread have actually SEEN this bird in question and know it exists.

No - no one in this thread has access to any information that anyone else here doesn't - it's just that most of us don't have the interest or the time to become this involved/informed about the topic.

But if believing that makes this more exciting for you, you should absolutely continue to believe it.

hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

hold on gotta catch my breath here.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Uh......OK. Guess you don't know ATS too well.

Anyways, looks like from your avatar you drink hateraid in many a flavor. Seriously, why don't you think this thread has any merit? I'm all ears. Oh and don't use the excuse that since YOU don't know anything about what we are talking about in this thread that we don't know anything about what were talking bout in this thread.

This thread is about serious business, sorry you were put off by our abundance of style and sense of humor while discussing some of the coolest things on earth.

I always get a kick out of these types of posts. So...you must think of yourself as some sort of omniscient being to KNOW for a FACT that no one in this thread has any sort of privileged inside information. That is what you are saying right? I mean, how else could you KNOW, and not simply BELIEVE that to be the case?

But if believing that makes this more comforting for you, you should absolutely continue to believe it.

Everyone likes to parrot "You'll never discover the juicy Top Secret stuff on a CT forum", and they're right. We won't. Outright, anyway. We trust Zaphod to not be completely yanking our chains, since he's a mod and doing so would destroy him as a mod or member, and drastically reduce the trustworthiness of this site's staff as a domino side effect. I'm of the opinion he wouldn't do that to either the site, or the patrons.

What we've got in 37 pages is vague at best, yes, but it gives everyone a good idea of what's up there. Keyword being 'idea' here, because everyone's got to hypothesize about it. That's a given considering no one in their right mind is going to leak verifiable information about these vehicles without expecting a quick knock & long, secluded 'vacation'.
Zaphod's lucky to be able to converse with people in the know on this subject, really in the know. The rest of us are grateful he can so much as vaguely re-discuss what he & his buddies discussed. It's not a thrill factor, it's satisfying a desire to learn about & understand something we're not quite privy to on a public level yet.

To sum that up, take your assumptions & kindly stuff 'em.

Well that's good logic...ha. Several members on this thread have/had access to info the rest doesn't. Zaphs a good example. I've been to Diego several times. And BASSPLYR is right, this is about serious business and trying to solve/hypothesize about what's out there based on a collective experience and knowledge. And by you asking if it was aliens...well even if it was sarcasm it's not needed in this forum.

Diego might not have the runway length to land this thing. But it's gotta be somewhere south of California in my opinion. Maybe somewhere near SE Asia.

The only pacific runway that seems suitable would be Vandenburg.. Southwest of that you have Easter Island which is a Peruvian territory.. I doubt you can hide a large, secret landing strip out in the pacific.

With all the talk about Denver International having underground areas and platforms, and the fact that it's 16,000ft long 16R/34L runway is the longest commercial runway in North America puts it on a potential list. Perhaps in plain site, at night , who knows.

a reply to: boomer135 just reading your reply and going off the subject a little if I may, i for one are happy to have such a good group of people sharing their knowledge and input. Some users I have accepted what they say is true and if I'm a bit skeptical about something I'll still take it on board and make up my own mind. Since joining this site over 3 years ago I was mainly interested in UFO evidence but then I discovered the aviation forum and the 'top guns' (see what I did there
) who post on here such as yourself and Zaph, the aviation forum is by far my favourite

Love seeing you guys discussing things while I can hover and read what you all share but also I'm building up my own knowledge. So thanks people

*disappears into the lurkers shadow*

On topic, I may of missed this as I'm at work and jumped straight to the reply page, talking about the length of a runway, if this aircraft has a new propulsion design will the aircraft need a long runway. Will the new propulsion allow it to take off quicker .. If you get me

Hi there folks.

Ok last Tuesday night (22nd) at approx 12:06pm GMT we had a very high flyer go over us.

my location is the red circle, and the redline is the observed flightpath.

It was very fast with no sound and very high, slight green glow that's all.
it came in from the Atlantic (West to East) and as it came over us (Viseu Portugal ) it then turned sharply to the South East. and then disappeared from sight as it went on.
there were no flights on radar tracker at that particular time going in that direction. and certainly not at that height ;-)

Thanks for the replies guys, Zaphod asked me to post my sighting here to add to the mix.

also i forgot to say in my post : Many many thanks to the usual suspects that are contributing to this fine thread,
threads like this and the other one
are why i came here many many years ago and have kept coming back ever since.

And to the doubters and nay-Sayers.... This site ( ATS ) has lots and lots of experts and specialists in all fields of work and industry including classified / defense work. I myself used to work for QinetiQ in the UK working on a range in Western Scotland, testing underground Military structures.
..... Not all the members of this site are UFO wackos and extreme conspiracy/`false flag at every event` nutters. ( no offense if you are one of the aforementioned people
)

keep up the good work

I'm guessing Zaph has a family member or close friend in a senior position in the DoD, and through that has probably developed various other contacts/friendships in similar positions...that's pretty much the only way I can think of that someone could give him the information he apparently knows without getting fired or put in jail. I had a TS/SCI clearance when I worked for a defense contractor, and we took a polygraph that I would have easily failed if I had even hinted at some of the info that Zaph knows. At that level, you have to get a new background check done every five years. Granted, I didn't have access to SA programs so I wouldn't know anythign that classified anyways, but I had access to enough that if I had told anyone about any of it, I'm not sneaky enough to get away on a poly..and the polys they gave us for TS/SCI were not exactly hard core. For the stuff that Zaph knows, you need codeword clearanace (or whatever you need to get into special access programs), which would have far more rigourous security measures I assume, so the fact that he has sources who are leaking him tid bints (or outright telling him secrets), means that whoever is telling him this stuff is probably not some employee somewhere..it's someone that doesn't have the DoD breathing down their neck making sure they follow every security protocol.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill myself, and boil your rabbit.
