BTW I guess the numbers I mentioned were before the economic down turn, Forbes puts the figure of Mexicans at Middle Class levels at about 44 million people which is roughly the population of Southern California...

Mexico rebuild what we have ruined over the last 50 years.

i can't agree on that at all.

we did not invent the drugs, the peoples from south america and central america. have been using drugs long before any white man ever set foot into the area. the drug trade is world wide. and the U.S. is far from being the only country that has the lust for drugs coming from there.

the problems that stem in those regions are the countries fault. due to the greed and corruption that comes from it.government officials taking bribes and kick backs from it, and turning a blind eye to it at the start.

granted the world shares in it but the world didn't ruin it.

We fund and protect the drug cartels. If you think that has been good for Mexico, then we likely cannot discuss this from any point of agreement.

I wish - just for once - you would commit to an opinion

Defend that - and quit defending yourself

You said what I said was BS - based on what? Your father in law's experience?

I'll see your father in law and raise you a few million Mexicans that don't fit into your neat, tidy little explanation of why they're crossing over

There is more than one reason for everything Slayer - nothing is that simple

This is my flag:

I have it hanging behind me (at my desk at work).

I designed a logo for The Cake Party (as in "let them eat cake") over the weekend:

You know that seems to be a Real world source and not just some opinion online, No offense, Why? Because he and I have routinely gone down to Mexico, this isn't for some of us just academic mental masturbation...

question,

how far back do you think the funding went, 60' 70's 80's 90's 2000's. yes i agree that there is evidence that there have been CIA,DEA, and DOJ involvement.

but you can't honestly think that it was started by them. man is a party animal and will use anything to alter his consciousness.
and the problems started way before the alphabets got involved.

Wait, your wife is mexican and you visit mexico every year yet, you don't know or don't want to acknowledge that most, if not all, the people in that pic have native american blood?

Seems to be a bit of a disconnect there.

Because he and I have routinely gone down to Mexico, this isn't for some of academic mental masturbation...

Are you saying that that's all my opinion amounts to?

Slayer - you said that what I said was BS - based on your personal experience. Your personal experience doesn't cover the entire situation - or make you an expert. Why is it that you can't seem to allow for more reasons than your own?

What I said was that we have played a part in Mexico's problems, and there is more than one reason for why they are here

How is that academic mental masturbation? For someone who so often relies on academia to make his points (ahem) how is it that your personal experience trumps all other experiences or knowledge?

:-)

Edit to add - that you (again) are not the only person who has any experience with Mexico - or Mexicans. And, I daresay that actual Mexicans are no more an expert on being Mexican or the Mexican experience - than being an American makes you or I experts on being American

This thread should be evidence enough of that

I've never understood this need for things to be so easily summed up - or the need to be right when there is no clear right or wrong

Our reality is not that simple

I said BS to this and I provided a link

Your comment

This entire thread is based on Hypocrisy. A Vet decides to defend his flags honor *Whether you and a few others agree with it or not.

Whats hypocritical about that?

Did he go down to Mexico and raise an American Flag before and after?

I guess I don't get it...

I have Native American blood.

I acknowledge the people in the picture do as well.

The can say what they want. This is not their land.
