A mammoth tornado carved a trail of destruction through the Oklahoma City metropolitan area, killing at least 37 people and ripping apart two elementary schools today, local authorities said.

"It is absolutely devastating, this is horrific," Oklahoma Lt. Gov Todd Lamb said. "We're going to have fatalities. ... We're going to have significant injuries. ... We just don't know what those numbers are. Schools have been hit, a hospital has been hit, businesses have been flattened, neighborhoods have been wiped away -- we don't have the numbers in yet but it is going to be significant and it is going to be horrific."

Intense situation going on there in Oklahoma.

They just raised it to 51, and are thinking that dozens, 40-50 are feared dead in the elementary school that they are searching through right now.

I saw something about it...
But I was doing something else at the moment.

Then I saw a headline confirming "37-DEAD."

Like, what... the... f***...

Thoughts to those involved.

I heard them mention this on the News. I had never heard of it before.
I think it is something that Everyone should know about.

[color=C9FFF4]After a disaster, letting your family and friends know that you are safe and well can bring your loved ones great peace of mind. This website is designed to help make that communication easier.

Register Yourself as “Safe and Well”
Click on the “List Myself as Safe and Well” button to register yourself on the site.

Search for Loved Ones
Concerned family and friends can search the list of those who have registered themselves as “safe and well” by clicking on the “Search Registrants” button. The results of a successful search will display a loved one’s first name, last name and a brief message.

Well, I just realized that the actual website address really sucks, but is still something people should know about. It is SAFEANDWELL.COMMUNITYOS

Logic dictates that I should be able to simply type in SAFEANDWELL.COM, but that doesn't work. It says nothing about the Red Cross, and tells me that the domain name may be for sale.

Wish there was some way for schools to have storm shelters or a basement for the people to run for cover.
What a tragedy......

My thoughts and prayers go out to those people.
