No one is coming to take any GUNS. He's taking a public concern; gun control, and spinning it into gun confiscation. Where is he getting that from? Nowhere. It's good ratings to shock an audience with lies!!!

This country is one of the most dangerous on this planet. Between a corrupt government that's NOT working and people pitting one against the other, this country NEEDS intervention.

I own no gun. I have plenty of friends and acquaintances who own guns. I have nothing against them at all. After all, it's their right.
My problem along with millions of others is that Alex Jones is a fabricating alarmist.

If this corrupt government wishes to take assault weapons off the market, what the HELL does that have to do with anyone's right to bear arms? What? So you don't have a selection now? Get over it!!!!

we will always have one side saying this and one side saying that. i think that is impossible to change.
and its sad because we are so separated as a people that should act as one.

if anyone is interested about the glenn beck angle, just google racial/national composition of the usa.
then check what the majority of utah is.

As much as he tries to make me dislike him, try as I might, I can't help but like Alex. I know he's a nut. I know he's been wrong.. alot, I know there are some pretty good arguments as to him being a govt shill, yet I can't help but think that at least he's causing people to think about things, and question the media.

Isn't it interesting how the focus of the discussion is mostly on "HOW" he said things rather then "WHAT" he said. Especially with those who are disparaging Alex. It seems very telling as to where the mindset of a lot of people are especially those who get their news mainly from the MSM...

Sure there are plenty of things wrong with the government, but only because democrats and republicans win ALL THE TIME! Who would not get arrogant knowing they can piss on the public's back and get away with it every single time? Ok they sacrifice a few patsies now and then, and everything is ok? No way!

The problem is free market capitalism does not work, especially in the international arena. We used to have regulated trade with tariffs. Now american companies ship manufacturing to asia, take advantage of dirt cheap labor, import their own merchandise back and give the consumer a modest break in the price, but the profit margin is much greater. Rinse and repeat this each and every year now for 30 years and you get companies with too much lobby money to spend to influence government against the american workers, which in turn creates bigger profit margins and even more available lobby money. Free trade capitalism is a huge scam against most people.

To the media's credit they are giving some air time to the libertarians and throwing a bone to socialist parties every now and then, but still it is way too little. And where are the greens, constitutionalists, justice party, etc?? No where! People vote on the information they have available. Catch 22 based on exaggerations, lies, omissions, half-truths, etc. The very rich win and everyone else losses, breaks even or gets bye.

But you know what? People need a job to provide themselves and their family. I doubt infowars can provide those jobs due to lack of capital on their part. The establishment wins because of apathy by default.

So you think people should put themselves in danger of tyranny because of your irrational fear of certain cosmetic features on rifles? it's none of your damn business what type of guns or rifles others keep. I want Jersey shore watching idiots out of my country too but that doesn't mean I have a right to bring government force to bear to make it happen.

And the main reason for the 2nd Amendment is insurance against government tyranny. Crack a history book and learn a thing or two about how every government of the 20th century who murdered millions of their citizens first implemented gun control then confiscation using irrational lies and fears about being safe from harm.

Gun related deaths account for 1.5% of deaths in the US. You are hundreds of times more likely to die at the hands of a doctor or in a car accident. Hence your fears of certain cosmetic features of rifles are irrational you should be screaming for the ban of doctors and cars!

Here is Dianne Feinsteins proposal. So you can stop being either; a misinformed individual, an out and out liar or a Alex Jones zombie!

Following is a summary of the 2013 legislation:

Bans the sale, transfer, importation, or manufacturing of:
120 specifically-named firearms;
Certain other semiautomatic rifles, handguns, shotguns that can accept a detachable magazine and have one or more military characteristics; and
Semiautomatic rifles and handguns with a fixed magazine that can accept more than 10 rounds.
Strengthens the 1994 Assault Weapons Ban and various state bans by:
Moving from a 2-characteristic test to a 1-characteristic test;
Eliminating the easy-to-remove bayonet mounts and flash suppressors from the characteristics test; and
Banning firearms with “thumbhole stocks” and “bullet buttons” to address attempts to “work around” prior bans.
Bans large-capacity ammunition feeding devices capable of accepting more than 10 rounds.
Protects legitimate hunters and the rights of existing gun owners by:
Grandfathering weapons legally possessed on the date of enactment;
Exempting over 900 specifically-named weapons used for hunting or sporting purposes; and
Exempting antique, manually-operated, and permanently disabled weapons.
Requires that grandfathered weapons be registered under the National Firearms Act, to include:
Background check of owner and any transferee;
Type and serial number of the firearm;
Positive identification, including photograph and fingerprint;
Certification from local law enforcement of identity and that possession would not violate State or local law; and
Dedicated funding for ATF to implement registration.

SEMI-AUTO RIFLES REGARDLESS OF ANY MILITARSTIC FEATURES SHOULD NOT BE CALLED ASSAULT RIFLES because they ARE NOT AUTOMATIC which is required of them to be classified as such.

THEY ARE CALLED SPORT RIFLES!

Automatic rifles are called assault rifles which are also called select-fire weapons. THE MILITARY HAS THEM, not civilians. You can ONLY buy these rifles MADE BEFORE 1987 which means they are used. Not new! You cannot buy new automatic weapons except a dealer model, which is rare.

Further it is nearly impossible to buy A SPORT RIFLE and then convert it to automatic rifle. You need the automatic sear which is held by the federal government, which means you need to file paperwork and get it approved. The government will DENY EVERYONE unless they have a special license to develop automatic weapons for the police or military. Some gun dealers and gunsmiths work closely FOR THE GOVERNMENT, not for you.

Hopefully this is the last time I have to attack that pathetic argument that feinsten wants to use TO BAN SEMI-AUTOS. She also wants to ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds. It is much more than just a ban on automatic rifles. MUCH MORE! Read the appropriate information of what she is suggesting before you make an ass out of yourself. Most people have gave up trying to explain their reasoning to people who refuse to listen.
