DEAR ATS,

I regret this thread. Im very sorry. I didnt mean to be a jerk or anything.

I agree, caps can be useful at times to emphasize a point.

And sorry to evilsaddamclone,my sense of humour went missing there for a while.

Sincerley.

And like I said,I have two upper caps words in my signature.I kinda forgot about that

It isn't painful to see capital letters, is it? We needn't cringe or wince. We are here to express opinions, trade theories, facts, suppositions, ideas.... sometimes we want to emphasize words with capitals as if it were inflection or volume in order to express as we would verbally out loud. Yes, it can get out of hand but to eliminate capital letters is a slight form of censorship. Inflection and volume in speech has a purpose. So do capital letters. If we don't want to hear someone shout, we can cover our ears. It's even easier with print. Ignore the font size and pay attention to the gist of the post or thread. Really, it's not as if someone were SHOUTING IN YOUR EAR, no matter if it seems that way.

i find it particularly annoying when people miss-spell definitely. They usually write defiantly. Makes me wanna sh*t my pants.

This can actually be attributed to a Google Chrome bug in their spell checker - it always screws up the spelling check for definetly - in face while mis spelling it like I just did, it only gave me the following options to auto correct, defined, definitively, defiantly, and definitive.

No option to auto correct to definitely =(
