Actually you sound like the Communist because you are against freedom to protest. If you don't like America you should move to somewhere that agrees with your principals, like China.

There are jobs everywhere. There are business opportunities everywhere. If unemployment is 15%, that means that 85% of the people can find jobs.

I am sorry but I cannot believe that a person that has the ability to read and type could post something so ignorant.

You truly do not understand the way the economy and society works, do you?

The great depression wasn't that bad either because 75% of people could find jobs, right?

Do you know what purchasing power is? How about the importance of income equality? Or the danger of wage stagnation? Or the danger to an economy from wealth concentration?

Unfortunately, and tragically (I see the signs of it coming - one of these being winter) OWS will be forced inside. Why not start OWS ONLINE?

Make an official website and begin a "home" there. Eventually this is where it has to go. OWS needs to secure the domain names and start their movement online. They can stage mini and more mobile FLASH MOBS from there. This is not as desirable or attention getting as Wall Street but the upside is you are going to reach more people. More people will be able to participate. As FOX News is representative of the right in this country perhaps Cenk and the Young Turks can be televised and recognized as the voice of the left which needs to be heard as well before any compromise can be reached or peace can be achieved.

Anyone who wants to sabotage any organization can make a large enough donation in the name of Alla bin Swahili and claim it is being supported by the Muslim Brotherhood or from Chivas Whitehead and say they are supported and propped up by the Klan.

You need to study the historical path of the dollars...all of them before you get a clear picture of who is funding whom. And these are people complaining mostly because they are broke. The money will come from people with money like it always does. For OWS this is going to be NEW Money from supporters. You will also even find some old money like this guy but it will not be much of the old money.

You can organize on the street but you can't sleep there. I think what they are doing is claiming many people there are actually homeless. Residents who live nearby are most certainly the ones complaining and this is being done under THE GUISE of standing up for their American freedom too. You need to walk a fine line in the middle - apparently only during certain hours. These are not my rules - but I know that there are ways to break rules without landing yourself in jail and worse off.

Once all the unemployed join the movement, as their numbers ever increase, this will become a titanic force. Soon enough something will need to happen, one way, or another. At least if you tried, you did the right thing.

The problem with this Occupy Movement, is that the little man wants a bigger slice of the big man's pay.

You want a real revolution? Gather all your money into a big pile and burn it.

Money is their power over you. So if you fight for more money, you are just giving them more power over you.

News Flash: standing outside banks screaming at the windows isn't going to make them suddenly change their minds, give all of their money away to the poor in this country, and turn it into a socialist utopia. They don't care about you and they never will.

Is this seriously going to be our generation's movement? A bunch of people standing in the street protesting what exactly? Wealth? Rich people? All this energy, and it's all wasted. That's right I said it. Wasted. And they will go home when it gets cold, no doubt about that.

It physically pains me to see how misguided 99% of these people at these movements are (pun definitely intended). Yes, there are the 1% (I see a fair amount of them on this forum) who aren't spouting socialist nonsense and actually looking to address our problems with real solutions, but they refuse to take the lead and move the protest to a location where they can actually do some good.

This talk about the movement 'needing no leaders' because everyone is 'working towards a common goal' is a bunch of borderline-comical nonsense. Social movements require leaders to be effective. Anyone with a basic understanding of history knows that. The facts are that the average person either is not capable of understanding, or does not choose to try to understand the nature of the problems that face a society. Such was the case with the American Revolution (do you think the average minuteman truly understood the concepts in the writings of Locke or Jefferson?).

In summary, either someone needs to take the lead in this group and march on the White House/Capitol Building lawn, or one of two things is going to happen:

A) Worst-case scenario, Obama manages to win over the simple-minded portion of the OWS protestors and gets re-elected.
B) Least-worst-case scenario, the movement disperses and everyone forgets about it in a week.

Our government has some cool tech toys, which can be shot right out of a small gun. Once they are attached to your clothing, they can track your location and listen to conversations. If I were in charge of the US military, I would see how they work in a real life situation. 'Occupy: America' would provide for a great field test.

everyone is blaming the wrong people. Its the bankers and the Federal Reserve. not large companys. We need to rid our selfs of the debt system

OWS people are NOT a group of losers who are trying to blame someone else for their failure. This could not be further from the truth.

CBC and numerous other media and even posters on this site have shown that-

OWS people have jobs.
OWS people have money.
OWS people are smart.

So why are they there?

- Some are driven by envy that they don't make big bucks and have to make do with an average life in an average house with an average-looking piece of skirt to bang each night.

- Some are greedy people just hoping for the same sort of big handout that the banks got.

- Some are civil servants who know that the gravy train of fat salaries, big pensions and early retirement for employment with no work will soon halt unless they can point the blame away from a bloated public sector and onto someone else.

- Some are politico wannabees, seeking to use OWS as a springboard to a carrier in politics.

- Some are thugs, looking for a chance to beat the # out of someone without consequence when it turns into an inevitably nasty confrontation.

- SOme are professional victims who enjoy the thrill of getting whacked.

- Some are people who like interfering in other people's lives, the sort of folk who have used the Anti-Social Behaviour Order Legislation to string up civil rioghts there with thousands of petty ASBO's that make everyone's life hell.

- Some are celebrities like Michael Moore, looking to get some cheap publicity to get bankrolled a few more million for appearing in another film.

- Some are journalists looking for a story adn a Pulitzer prize.

- Some are greedy bankers themselves, turning up to chant slogans against their own actions so as to absolve themselves of any backlash by having "been at the protest".

REAL HOMELESS and JOBLESS PEOPLE are extremely unlikely to join OWS. If you lived in daily fear of having burning gas poured over you as you slept under a bridge or being beaten up and blamed every time there's a theft in a store, would you really try to piss off the Police by camping out in Wall St? C'mon, people, the ACTUAL HOMELESS AND UNEMPLOYED are far too busy trying to find food and shelter each day to waste time on this CARNIVAL OF THE CLOWNS/

Believe me, I spent 22 weeks living on the streets a few years ago.

Why does anyone think they are doing any good in OWS when the very powers that created the mess are encouraging them to protest. 911 created homeland security what is OWS going to create? They turned our youth into sheeple and the time for a slaughter is near. Go Home before it's too late!

A thought I posted on an early OWS thread...

What would happen if lets say 80% of the American people got "the blue flu" for 3 days, not driving, buying gas or anything staying home. No one in the streets to tear gas. No one to arrest. No one anywhere! Could you imagine the taxes lost? The lack of money trading hands costing the banks and big businesses Billions? Can't use your cell phone or the internet too. I think this would get the attention from the system more than any OWS activities.

You can't win a fight if there is no one to arrest!
