Hacking? Anyway this is real convenient with the timing and all...

St ock markets in France, Portugal, Belgium and Holland with technical problems

NYSE Euronext announced that their benchmarks in France, Belgium, Portugal and the Netherlands are no longer updated.

"A las 9:56 la transmisión del AEX, CAC 50, BEL 20 y PSI 20 se ha parado", explicó la compañía en su página web". "At 9:56 the transmission of the AEX, CAC 50, BEL 20 and PSI 20 has stopped," the company said on its website. "

They are all frozen. Trying to stop a crash? Will they blame hackers for this?

All a big coincidence, I'm sure...

Nice link, care to interrept it for us so we may research whatever your implying is going on.

You do know that machines break down from time to time?

So what are you implying is the reason for this. If they are back up tomorrow what significant impact happened today because of this?

They are stopping a total collapse claiming it's a technical error.

It's all a big joke.

It's funny that the stock markets have stopped at 9:56 too... 9:5+6 = 9:11... or 9/11...

Have to agree at least with the part about them wanting to stop a total collapse. Then tommorow they'll add more money into the market before the technical problem is fixed... and all will be as it was before... to predictable. Also, right before the US passes a law about not being able to trade in gold... coincidence, I think not.

Maybe I Should stay up and find out if it leaks to the US, might want to make a run on my bank...

Well if this is what the op was originally trying to state then why is it a big deal? I seem to remember FDR declaring a bank holiday the first day he took office to close the banks to prevent people from withdrawing anymore money.

Is this situation different somehow? Are you saying Greece should collapse their economy?

Let all the markets crash it's going to happen sooner or later. It will be fun watching the now poor people take nosedives from the top of buildings.

Who cares what FDR did. We are in 2011. This is different.

The governments should stop manipulating the economy and let it act on it's own. If it's gonna collapse, LET IT COLLAPSE.

This is like another bank bailout all over again.

Sorry that we want ECONOMIC REALITY to set in. It will happen some time, rather do it now then later... the longer we wait, the worst it will be.

Well if they are gonna pump more money into their economy or government or whatever why do they need to stop the stockmarkets. Why not just do it?

It would take much more money to do it now when everyone is selling than if you wait for the markets to close and do it in the future markets.

The future markets is way smaller. Not to mention, they could do speech while the markets are closed so the markets would go up by themselves.

Well if their economy is crashing now won't it just do it again shortly anyways or will they continue doing this same thing hoping no one notices or are they expecting this influx of money to prevent the economic collapse?

Well we will know something is up when the US stocks start trading in a few hours. They closed for the day just in time yesterday. Someone did a time line video on the crash about a year or so ago. How they closed the markets as they started taking dives. They pumped in more money then re opened the market and it still continued to drop. If we are at this point then, better beat the crowd to the stores.
