I live in Ripon, and know a lot of the farmers in the area. The condition of the levies, the hight of the rivers and the snow pack in the Sierras is a very real concern to them right now. they are having flashbacks of the flooding we had here in 97. They are seeing that "perfect storm" happening all over again.

Hi everyone, new to this site. I live in san diego, ca born and raised and I have noticed that after japan the weather here has been REALLY foggy and crappy looking here....thing that sucks is I work in downtown near the water -.- I just hope nothing really happens and if anything does happen godbless you all.

Any one checking out USGS site, how many quakes average in the Atlantic each year?

I keep hearing this ring of fire, and there is a triangle of quakes, predicted from New Zealand to Japan, and supposedly back to the West Coast? Though if Russia was a part of the triangle it would go east not west. And have been following a few threads on the earthquake activity along the coastal regions.

So it may very well be just an ordinary washout, with bad timing, or it could be a part of something.

not to far from manteca... i noticed all the levees along the stanisluas river till it meets up with the san joaquin river just outside of town have potential weak spots and many cracks... mostly going unnoticed or unfixed... this could be a real problem in the near future or even next winter... i am taking care of my daughter today so i cannot go to the river to take pictures with my digi... hopefully this weekend if it does not rain will be able to check it out and post some photos.

I thought it was my imagination but the air was a little more condensed looking last couple evenings.

I just found your thread Johnny, I saw this on Fox and wanted to post about it ...I am glad you got it out here you will do a better job then myself.

And eye twitch may not be new to you but that was the first time I have ever felt that and I'm 28 and lived a highly stressful life so far with no twitches till then. I was just throwing it out there for this is what this thread is about throwing out ideas as to possible quake predictors.

How do i know you're not just blowing your severe eye twitching out of proportion? please send video proof of your eye twitching, and then we can see how "severe" your twitch is.... some more severe eye twitching (possibly your case) can also be the result of a genetic disorder that can lead to chronic irritation or visual problems, this is based on scientific fact, so that is my proof, your eye twitching is normal, not a precursor to a mega quake. sorry.

Here's the odd part about this information you just posted. My experience I shared with regards to being off-kelter some odd 20 hours prior to the Japan earthquake is this.. I traveled up and down that particular piece of road that day twice. The relatives I was visiting was in both Salinas and Monterey. It was in Monterey that i felt the most ill.

Again, I still have trouble with associating my experiences with any of this (this is my analytical mind trying to make sense and attach a scientific answer to something I can't explain).

I saw that news article last night. The first thing that struck me about it... as it's fairly close to Santa Cruz where a lot of damage was done in the harbor from the tsunami last week. Perhaps the tsunami had an effect on this stretch of the highway?!

Just a thought.

I'm in California and I have felt the same way recently. I cant think straight like I'm in a fog like my brain is using all its resources/brainpower to run a mental program in the background that hogs all the resources of my day to day life routine. I have nightmares every night. I expect a big quake on the 19th as well. There have been multiple small prequakes in the Gulf of California area already. I was planning to fly East for a while in a couple weeks but the sooner the better. I also have radioactive clouds to worry about now too. ARGH!!

Well valid point but I have no health issues as I am as healthy as they come and sorry didn't think I'd need to vid my twitch for someone as shallow minded as you I don't need any proof all my fam and friends saw it that's all the proof I need and even they thought it was highly unusual so again this is a suggestion on a suggestion thread but lets just agree to disagree as we both can't prove it is or isn't I was just trying to contribute to this thread. What have you contributed but to dash and slander peoples ideas without merit?

Sure enough looked at all your post on this thread and sure enough no contrubution but "your wrong" what thread BTW did the Japan quake get successfully predicted?, if your not going to add to this thread then maybe you should go to another thread but I'm not the moderator

Yesterday, there was an article in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about a rather large influx of coyotes in the Atlanta metro area. The animal control officer that was interviewed said that the calls about the animals have gone "through the roof" in the past week

You both may very well be on to something . . . but please note the dates of the duration of the oil spill in the Gulf . .. .and the gestation period for dophins ( 11 - 12 months I believe). Many of these dead baby dolphins may very well have been in the early stages of gestation when the oil spill hit. We have learned from previous oil spills that even when adults of the species survived the toxins in the water. . . the babies were often still born or so unhealthy that they did not survive. That said, I still believe that all the signs are in place that the New Madras/Madrid is becoming very active again.

I was trying to help you understand about this very common problem, obviously a lot of people are in earthquake hyper overdrive at the moment, and everything that happens lately seems to be a "sign" that there is impending diasaster, earthquakes interest me and i find some threads and posts on this forum very interesting, but when you get pages of people talking about how they think their eye twitch is a precursor to an earthquake it kinda makes me wonder why i bother reading these forums.

I live in Ripon right now, 1/4 mile from the San Joaquin river, it is very full right now. Unfortunately I have 3 kids and a very full schedule, and don't have time to take pictures. Sure wish I did have extra time! We will be out and about on Saturday, with the camera. Hopefully I will have some time to stop and get a few pictures of the levies.

No no I said you had valid points I won't deny that as I said way before you even said anything if you even read all my post and the others with the twitching that there are many causes I was just pointing out the oddity in what I experienced and it's timing was unusual....twitch may or may not be quake related we may never know Like I said we both can't absolutely prove our stances on this I just wanted to thow it out there and see if others felt the same severity as I did if so when it started and stopped.

I don't know about you but we have possibly millions about to die because of that quake along with other quakes that have killed in the past and I personally if possible would like the ability to predict these things before they happen and thousands or millions die and doing what we are doing here will bring us that much more closer to saving lives that don't need to die so I think all suggestions should be heard as we all know now these things aren't letting up.. thanks


And I'm only doing what the thread starter asked and that was any to report any oddities we are feeling at the time as a quake was predicted for a specific date and IF it happens all these feelings may just mean something.

I'm seeing 3 quakes in the 3 range right here in CALI and the 4 happening in the Alaska area. Hopefully just settling after Japans 9.0. I don't want to get a big earthquake I'm on the third floor of my building.
