this is a case where a bank customer send a type of letter to the bank and when they didnt respond they had broken the law
this is important as a lot of people complain their banks wont answer calls and make it difficult to make payments

I love cases like these. Especially against the bigger/biggest banks. You can only push so far.

Me thinks only Vampires can foreclose on banks

i have heard of stories of banks failing to credit peoples morgage accounts unless they sit on a phone for an hour trying to get confirmation of payment so the bank cant foreclose
the banks treat their customers awfully
i hope some that need help with their banks see this and decide to turn the tables and make the banks respond in writing TO THEM lol

Good thread! RESPA letters are a good way to fight your foreclosure too by asking for proof of claim.

Holy crap, a vampire! I wonder if that had anything to do with him winning against the bank.

if some of the really nasty banks got thousands of letters
and were unable to reply to all in time
the banks themselves might find out what its like to be foreclosed on

I really hate banks, and hate the fact having a bank account is pretty much a requirement of life.

All the rules have changed in the last couple of months. Lending banks are now being held accountable for the trap they set, borrowing money they didn't themselves have, while using loose and illegal practices in the process. The massive lawsuit against Wells Fargo / Wachovia, Indymac / OneWest bank, Citibank, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, GMAC..............can actually, not only put a stop to your foreclosure, but also pause your house payments with no loss to you............
