Russian border region closes malls and schools as Ukrainian attacks escalate

CNN —

All schools and colleges in parts of the Russian region of Belgorod will be closed Monday and Tuesday following an increase in Ukrainian attacks on the territory, the region’s governor has announced.

Shopping malls will also be closed Sunday and Monday, Vyacheslav Gladkov added in a statement on Telegram. The affected districts lie alongside the border with Ukraine. The city of Belgorod itself is also subject to the closures.

amp.cnn.com...

Not sure if CNN meant it’s “Russian freedom fighters” attacking its own people and territory?

Or is CNN stating the obvious?

That it’s probably mainly a moshed group of Ukrainians/other foreign groups sent by Zelensky etc?

Or is it a plot twist lol, and it’s actually Putin supporting this “freedom group” to go over the border to rile the nation up and go in and setting up a more extended “buffer zone” coming up?

Who knows?

But CNN appears set on that it’s Ukrainian’s. And when you read the article (it’s CNN my apologies) it goes further showing that apparently more of these over the Russian border attacks will continue and “escalate”

Ummm...and we will watch them all burn...just as we have...and the advancing Russian military...will continue to advance...

This is all smoke and mirrors...and why these..."incursions"...are merely small force projection probing maneuvers...the obvious play...is to use this as an attempted distraction...from Ukraine's next over hyped...and sold...push to take back Crimea...and then claim some sort of puerile victory...

However...the Russian Military is well aware of this ruse...and...the Ukrainians are also well aware that Russia is only using around 2% of it's Military forces to prosecute the SMO...

It's all just hype and play for more cash infusions...

what i said stands. i noticed your map is focused in on a small area.. i wonder why? see how my map shows how much russia has lost over all and shows the entire battlefield and not just 60km on the eastern front?

russians are have lost way more than they have gained. and they will lose more. hows the fleet in the black sea doing? where are your ..what 4 new Su's? why havent they engaged with their super stealth modes? the only thing russia has is nules .. and, by the looks of the russian military, im not ready to believe they can even fire their nukes if they wanted lol

and so far it seems they have captured 4 km in few places over 3 months.. at this rate they will be in kyiv by never

But at what loss. Prigozhin himself claimed he lost 20,000 men taking Bakhmut, which is just mind boggling considering the USSR only had only 26,000 casualties in Afghanistan.

Taking Avdiivka cost Russia tens of thousands of troops and hundreds of military vehicles… where talking about a small regional city with a pre-war population of 30 thousand people.

Taking the war to Russia is the smartest thing Ukraine can do right now. They don’t need any major wins there, they just need to do enough to keep reminding the Russian people they are at war because of Putin.

In 1999 FSB blew up four apartment buildings in some Russian cities, including Moscow, and put the blame on Chechen terrorists so that Russian authorities had a valid reason to bomb Grozny. FSB agents wanted to blow up yet another apartment building but were caught red-handed by the residents. This "operation" helped Putin, who was then a prime minister, to become a president.

But that was the time when Russia fancied itself "democracy" and cared a little bit about an international opinion. Now it doesn't care so I doubt that what is happening in Belgorod is some political intrigue devised by Putin, some red flag operation or whatever. It's just Ukrainians (perhaps supported by a few Russian dissidents) striking Belgorod because they can, because it's close to the border.

I don't think the situation in Belgorod has some major influence on the war but... let Ukrainians kill as many Russians as they can. The more, the merrier.

There is another thread on this in which it was pointed out to you that these are Russians. Which you ignored and instead post another thread.

Maybe reply on the other thread?

The timing certainly is interesting. Ukraine is suddenly able to make forays into Russia at the same time that Russia is planning to mobilize (read: conscript) 500,000 more troops.

As the poster two above me mentioned, Putin does love his false flags.

From the other thread, which you ignored:

"Joint statement by the Legion "Freedom of Russia", the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Siberian Battalion on the results of a limited military operation in the Belgorod and Kursk regions.

Our liberation movement once again demonstrated the strength and power of the spirit and weapons of the Russian volunteers and the weakness of the Putin regime. Together with our comrades, we proved to the whole world that Putin is losing control over the situation more and more every day and is no longer able to protect even the borders of his own country.

The Russian militia liberated settlements from the Putin regime in just a few days. Putin’s army lost a huge amount of equipment and over a thousand of its soldiers, whom they threw in panic to be slaughtered under our guns. But as a result, even at a critical moment for his power - the days of the presidential elections - the entire Putin army was unable to resist us. The Kremlin failed to hold elections in areas where real war was taking place.

Citizens of the Belgorod and Kursk regions did not go to the polling stations under the bombs of Putin's aircraft and artillery fire. No one in their right mind will be able to claim after this that Putin was “elected” legally.

Vladimir Putin has lost the remnants of his legitimacy, power is slipping from his hands. He controls fewer and fewer processes in Russia, Russians see this and more and more compatriots are joining our ranks. Soon we will go to other cities.

We call on Russians from all countries, people of all nationalities to join us and fight together against the Putin dictatorship. Only with arms in hand, being together, we will definitely win and create a new Russia: a strong, peaceful and respected country, of which there is no shame in being a citizen.

Our fight continues! There will be new victories!
