ATS HOF What Are Some of Your Favorite Threads

I came to ATS for the conspiracies, but stayed for the community. The ideas and discussions shared here have been among the best around, and what drove these discussions were the people behind the avatars: our beautiful membership. We have lost and mourned dear friends here. We have celebrated each others good fortunes. Members have shared their best and wisest ideas here with us, and if this site goes dark, these words will too.
What are some of your favorite threads here? What was your favorite thread to write or participate in?

Though the conspiracy and paranormal driven threads were always of interest to me, my favorite threads are those which reminded me of the preciousness of life and people. Here are two from dear members who have passed away. I feel a great sadness thinking these words might be gone forever. Hope some of you enjoy the read though I have to warn you these are both quite sad:

The threads by Kail and verschicker were so very poignant; beautiful writing!

I haven't gotten to the haunted castles yet, but will check it out after I finish with Augustus' thread.

There is no clear indication of what actually happened with all this to my knowledge, but it was an exciting time, and those of us with military background found the facts to be completely unbelievable.

We participated in the event real time. It was pretty exciting. A famous explorer went missing "cover story perhaps" at the same time, and while the military usually doesn't go out on search and rescue missions for non military people, they did for this guy. All of it looked suspect.

I found this site because of mirageman's writeup on the unsolved mysteries guardian UFO. I really really enjoyed that entire series he (or she) wrote on the different unsolved mystery UFO episodes.
