Don't trust them as far as i could throw them...

Don't trust what?

www.abc.net.au...

What we know about Judith and Natalie Raanan, the hostages released by Hamas, and what might happen next

The names of the two hostages are now known as they have been released.

The statement from Hamas was that they were released on humanitarian reasons.

American officials want the remaining 10 American hostages released.

Why keep them? It's a wait and see game.

They obviously keep them to negotiate.

Terrorist groups like hamas have no humanity, they will not do anything if they are no going to get anything back, I am sure next they will demand the US release the 6 b to Iran.

And who can tell the rest of the Americans are not already dead. Let see how much the senile president will bend backwards for terrorist, he was already on all four for Iran.

How can they negotiate when nobody is asking them to negotiate?

That's the purpose of having hostages in the first place. To ask for something in exchange of the hostages.

What are you talking about. Reread my post.

What was Israel's first response? It was not to negotiate.

It doesn't matter. The purpose of taking hostages is to negotiate and you don't know how this will evolve in the future as not every hostage is from Israel.

It's not a debatable point by the way.

We need to understand terrorist mentality to be able to judge the situation.

Their Stated Mentality:
It is almost impossible for Palestinians to have peace for a simple reason. They are not willing to give up the land. That is, imagine some red Indian aided by Russians that want to occupy USA and move the people to Mexico. That is how they see it. Not only that, but they deny that white Jews coming from Russia and Ukraine where part of the brown skinned region of Palestine.

How they see Zionists?
They think Zionists coming from Russia and Ukraine that do not look like brown inhabitants of the area from centuries ago are not the owners of the land. They think the Russian Ukrainian Israelis are thieves and what is even worse is that the United Nations are siding with Palestinians claiming that the annexation of West Bank and Palestinian lands is a crime as per international law.

Why do they take hostages?
They think by taking hostages, they may be able to get some of their land back that United Nations claims it was taken illegally from Palestinians but didn't give it back to them.

I think taking hostages is an evil act and the international community should punish the Hamas for doing that.

Agreed.

Any reasonable person would do, too.

Apart from Israeli haters and Hamas apologists and their fellow travelers, apparently.

The Mom/Daugter are being "debriefed" right now. I wonder how much detail they will be able to provide?

Those who take hostages have an aim and this is to negotiate in the future. Regardless of what they are sworn to do they have released two American hostages and hopefully they will release all of them. There must be some sort of negotiations so everyone is released and they're safe.

If you believe that those who have signed petitions or demonstrated for a ceasefire and the end of hostilities are Israeli haters and Hamas Apologists then you clearly lost your mind or trying to provoke a reaction.

I think in your country from what I have heard a large number of Brits are in favour of ceasefire. It could be the majority of people

Please, don't tell me what the majority of us might think.

You are very good at that sort of thing.

Mostly , we don't support terrorists.

We've had that sort of B's from the IRA.

Who you also support.

How do you like it?

I don't think any sane person supports war in the UK (and elsewhere) or terrorists. But you seem not to have followed the news in your country recently.
You think the majority of Brits support the continuation of war or a ceasefire?

This thread is about hostages released. And that's a really good thing two of them have been released.
