So, he's being sued in the US over allegations of sex trafficking whatnot linked to Epstein And Ghastly Ghislaine scandal.

NY Judge has tossed his application to dismiss.

Where does he go now? No good options:

BBC News - Prince Andrew to face civil sex assault case after US ruling
www.bbc.co.uk...

I hear his military medals of bravery were taken away from him today.

They're just "things". The BRAVE ACTS remain.

The only things I want to know are:
will he take one for the team?
will he throw the rest under the bus too?
will he kill himself like epstien didn't?

I have a hard time accepting a high profile target like this going down without an arm flailing "They did it too" last gasp defense.

Its a civil law case Vroomfondel the only thing its going to cost him in the long run is cash monies.

If he ever were to be prosecuted in a criminal court of law i suppose it not beyond the realm of possibility that he may have an accident along similar lines to Princess Diana.

I understand that this is just a civil suit. However, he will be forced to defend himself against the same allegations that would be made in a criminal case. This civil suit may well be the proving grounds for future criminal cases for a number of high profile figures.

If a morlok can win over an eloi in a civil suit, anything is possible...

He could opt to no-show and get a default judgement against him.

Major difference between civil and criminal law cases is the burden of proof.

And the fact of the matter seems to be the evidence dont seem to be up to much cop in some regards.

Then there is the fact that Prince Pedo is apt to have the best defence lawyers money can buy.

Not that i don't share your sentiments Vroomfondel, i hope he's prosecuted to the full extent of the law and they crucify him in any court he happens to land.

He could, but that would all but guarantee more suits going forward. Which, in turn, could still lead to criminal charges. If people are just settling without even defending themselves, it starts to look like the charges are all correct.

The burden of proof is different. But, if its put in front of a jury, that jury is still basically deciding if he is innocent or guilty, then awarding compensation instead of jail time based on severity. The question is, would the same jury hearing the same evidence or testimony find him guilty in one venue and innocent in the other? First-hand testimony from the victim will most definitely be allowed where some other forms of evidence may not.

I would wager everything I have that he is not coming to the US to testify. He will either settle out of court (despite the plaintiff stating at this time they won't) or end up with a default.

Could you explain that?

Thanks in advance.

Civil cases, all down to balance of probabilities.

If certain info comes out in a civil case, could it trigger criminal proceedings?

In a global, digital world, why would any party have to appear in person? Video link, digital meeting space and all that.

Like others suggest through Vroomfondel the chances of him turning up in person to give evidence in a US court is pretty much slim and none.

Its not like extradition is on the cards where civil law suits are concerned.

In the United States a criminal case must be proved 'beyond a reasonable doubt' while civil cases use 'preponderance of evidence' which is a lower threshold.
