On thinking about things near me I could eat if Tptb decided for a laugh to turn off the food supply I thought of the Lugworm... Worms around 30cm that live in the sand, there's loads of them near me.
While the sheep are eating each other in zombified panic over toilet paper shortage I wondered what a deep fried Lugworm may taste like, and then i discovered some science on the Lugworm, not whether you could eat them though, but the modern scientist are looking at the special effects of the haemoglobin in its blood and that it can be used with all blood types.
I was amazed, could be needing this type of medicinal breakthrough soon.

Since you have the supply, how about you have a try and I'll phone the ambulance?

All I can offer is that Arenicola marina (lugworm) often feeds on sulfide rich marine sediments and sulfide is a potent toxin for humans and most animals.

Please don’t eat that horrid, nightmarish creature lol.
I think I’ve finally found something uglier than a horseshoe crab.

But yes, some creatures are absolutely hideous.
Like those giant Isopods those crazy bastards in China eat.
